Would anyone like a bite of the Dutch baby pancake I'll be taking out of the oven in about two minutes? πŸ˜‹

Doesn't that sound good to me as well? Can you imagine my disappointment that I'm heading out soon and will have to wait for dinner to have my Dutch baby pancake?

    Anticipation can be good, no?

Aren't I glad no one asked for a bite of my Dutch baby? Aren't I satiated now, just before going to tai chi practice? ☯️
(I'd say it might slow me down, but that's kind of the point with tai chi, right?) πŸ˜‚

Oh, could I have been seeing things wrong? Wasn't one about 6" and the other 3.5"? Has anyone seen my glasses?

Wouldn't coating the cold pan with butter be similar to coating a cake pan with butter before flouring it? But, wouldn't I be premature in expressing a hot vs. cold pan preference before repeating the experiment at least a dozen more times (with a variety of different toppings)?

Speaking of which, what would be your favorite toppings for a DB?

Would it be too blunt to just say no? Although, would you think it odd if my first choice for day-long snacking is not a Dutch Baby (although I can see how that would be delightful) but is peanut butter pretzels (which I never seem to tire of)?

Shall I clear up the confusion by saying that @cmsienk and I both have the same brand of 6Β½" skillet, but aren't you thinking of the 3Β½" skillet at REI that I posted a link to?

Shall I confess that peanut butter pretzels don't last long at my house?

Can you guess my favorite topping for a Dutch Baby pancake? Did you guess berries?

Is that blueberries? Did you know they’re my favorite?

Do you also see black raspberries mixed in with the blueberries?

Weren't raspberries a case of love/hate for me? While I loved the flavor (and still do), don't I hate the little seeds? By the way, does everyone know the difference between a drupe and a drupelet?

Is one smaller than the other?

Indeed, isn't that the case? Aren't cherries, plums and peaches examples of drupes, where parts of raspberries, blackberries, boysenberries, etc. are examples of drupelets?
Didn't I discover the word drupelet way back in the 1970's playing a game where whoever's it (me) must find a word in the dictionary, and everybody else makes up their own definition, then everyone votes on which of all the choices is the correct one? Can you guess how many points I got for having a word everyone thought was made up? πŸ˜‚
Doesn't it sound ridiculous: is a drupelet really "any of the small individual drupes forming a fleshy aggregate fruit such as a blackberry or raspberry"?

Do you know I have fond memories of playing this exact same dictionary game when I was in middle school with my best friend, her parents (both school teachers) and a few other people?

Wasn't it a fun game? Didn't I play a version of that when I visited a niece up in Portland who introduced me to some of the You Don't Know Jack video games?

Doesn't that game sound like it was invented by a few school teachers?:D

Why do I suddenly have the sound of the Robot from Lost In Space screaming "Danger, Danger!" ringing in my mind?

  • cmsienk

Is the robot in your head from the 1960s TV series or the 2018-2021 Netflix series? Isn't the latter a much more sinister robot?

How about "the smallest measurement of a raindrop"?

Could a drupelet be that droplet of water hanging off a faucet β€” i.e. drooping down from the faucet tip β€” that is wavering but not quite ready to let go?
