Hello!

I’m not new to MyFitnessPal, but I’ve been away for a long time. Over the last year, the combination of social media and the opinion news networks have only served to stress me out and hurt both my physical and mental health. I was pretty much able to maintain a weight of 195 lbs for multiple years because I ran regularly and watched what I ate, but after COVID and because of our current political environment, I’ve found myself slightly depressed, drinking too much, eating pretty poorly, and never working out. The end result: my blood pressure which had been normal for years jumped up to stage 2 hypertension while I gained enough weight to almost get back to where I was way back in 2010. So I made the decision this past Tuesday to stay off social media, stop watching the opinion news shows, stop reading the news on my phone and instead only focus on me, my diet, my physical health, and my family! That said, in just two days, I’m already feeling better both mentally and physically and even better- my blood pressure is already down and instead of seeing the weight on the scale continue to go up, I saw the weight come down this morning! MyFitnessPal helped me lose 38 pounds long ago and focused my attention on living a healthy lifestyle, so I know with focus and determination, this powerful little app will help me do that once again! I keep my head in the sand when it comes to current events. So I can understand where you are coming from. I think having a plan and focusing on yourself will lead you to success once again. You can do it!

After using the app over a week, I can attest to the fact that it’s much easier to use and thus a lot more convenient to use on a daily basis!
