I can't walk for very long and I can't run due to my ankle being fused ... I am in pain all the time. I am now awaiting a diagnose of crps.... is there anyone else out there in my situation.

Hello Heidi. I was born with a genetic condition that increases pain the more active I am. Any activity can cause pain in any part of my body at any time. I can even have pain without any activity at all. You don't need to exercise to lose weight. You can do it on food control alone. But you should move and be as active as you can. The less you move the less you can move. If you don't use it, you lose it. My doctor's taught me this when I was little (I had my first surgery at five).
I did take my walker and go on a slow 12 minute walk today. I have found chair yoga and tai chi. but for the past week I've been fidgeting. I don't think I do enough to make a huge impact on weight loss so I don't worry about trying to figure out how many calories I have burned through it. My highest weight was 245lbs. I am currently 219lbs. so that is 26lbs without weightlifting or cardio.
You can do this too.
