Using food scale

hello newbie here I just bought a food scale today. Can you keep track of food in my fitness pal by the scale numbers?

Tips:
When using something in a jar, like peanut butter or mayo, put the jar on the scale, lid off, zero/tare the scale. Take out the amount you want to eat. The negative number on the scale is the weight you took out. Log that.
Same thing works for foods where you cut a chunk to eat off a bigger amount, such as when you cut a piece of cheese off a packaged hunk.
When making a sandwich or salad, put the plate/bowl on the scale, zero/tare. I'll use sandwich as an example. Put the bread on the plate. Note the weight. Zero/tare. Put the meat on the bread. Note the weight. Zero/tare. Put the cheese on the meat. Etc., until the sandwich is done.
Works for sandwiches, salads, soup/ stew or anything where you're adding multiple ingredients to a pot/pan before cooking.
Quick, easy, accurate, no extra cups/spoons to wash.

Yes, search for database entries in grams. Sometimes there's a drop down on the food item site where you can select grams. If you weight 76g then either log 0.76 for 100g, or 76g if there's a 1g option.

I just ordered a scale from amazon, it hasn’t arrived yet, but I’m excited to start trying this as well. I hope you have good luck with it.
