    Hi Lippylou!

    You will get there!

If it helps, I have a cookie thing. Like, I can down an entire box. I enjoy chocolates as well! Like, in excess.

The way I do it now is that I incorporate chocolate or cookies in my breakfast. I make overnight oats (just oatmeal and Greek yogurt, portioned, and in my case a little artificial sweetener - I'm lowering how sweet I need things over time and where I use to use 3+ generous teaspoons, over 3 years I'm good with 1 1/2 -). If I want it chocolate-centric, a tablespoon of unsweetened chocolate powder. Sometimes, 20g of fruits. Then I top it with either a cookie (one) or a square of chocolate (again, one) or 2 teaspoons of dark chocolate chips.

It's basically cold porridge (but if it's cold, or I want something not mushy, I use two ramekins and add an egg, and then I bake it to have a cake-like texture).

I don't know if that sounds doable for you, but this always makes me feel like my breakfast are a 'treat' (dessert flavored šŸ˜‚) and it forces portioning. If I want more when I finish, I know I'll get to have more the next day. It's not forbidden, it's just delayed (I never read the book 'Delay don't deny' but once I read the title I realized I'd benefit from teaching myself delayed gratification šŸ˜… If I'm dreaming about Tiramisu, I'll make a lighter version, and I'll portion exactly one portion. If I bake a cake, I cut all pieces and freeze everything but one slice, and unfreeze/eat one slice per week - or share with others! -)

Portions have been my personal salvation. Particularly when it's something I really really enjoy the taste of.

    You've got this!

Hello all, welcome to mfp. You don't have to miss out on things you enjoy. Just research lower calorie versions and plan it into your calorie allowance. Losing weight doesn't have to be hard or make you unhappy.
