@chicbuc I was just replying to you when your post came through. Thank you always for your support.

Yes, we do have to keep trying. You've been doing pretty well this month. I'm sure you read @globalhiker's last post. It was very inspirational to me.

It sounds like you had a pretty uneventful day yesterday also. But your day sounded like a lot of fun.

I called my good friend in CA yesterday (we've known each other since high school). She's the one that only drank occasionally. Well, I guess she's drinking more now. She was drinking yesterday. I was quite disappointed. She was always pretty smart and could offer good advice. I tried to explain that I was trying to quit drinking and the problems it was causing…not being able to do my normal everyday activities, etc. And, she actually said, "You don't need to quit drinking. You just need to start walking more". I told her that I could barely walk to the mailbox. She obviously didn't understand what drinking excessively can do. And, she is the one who's husband had that disorder last July. It starts with a W and many call it wet brain. She was thinking of coming up to visit this summer. But, I really don't want her to. I will probably have to make up some sort of excuse. If I am successful with quitting, I think it's best to stay away from others that drink, at least for the first few months.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!

@MissMay I'm sorry to see you go. I had a feeling something was up because you haven't been posting much lately. I hope everything is OK! Please take care!

@SunnyDays930 I think you have to be on each others friend's list to send messages.

    Talk to you all later.

@MissMay I'm so sorry to hear you're leaving MFP, and am forever grateful that I found this discussion thread a few months ago.

I hope all is well with you, and that whatever you do in life, it's filled with nothing but happiness, compassion and love, because that's what you brought to these threads every month, and it's what you deserve, and more.

    Peace and love, Spring ❤️

@SunnyDays930 Yes, she may have already deleted her account. Her profile is private, so there's no way for me to know. Since she was on your friend's list, if she's no longer on there, she must have deleted her account. I hope everything is OK! I hate to see her leave…she will be missed!

Oh, wow. That's nuts and I will miss her dearly. I hope all is well with her. This thread will probably go by the wayside without her 😭

I almost wonder if someone hacked into her account and wrote that because that just does not sound like how she would say good bye. The writing style and tone of the message is not her typical either.

I hope she is OK and I wish her well. She helped change my life.

If she does not resurface, hope someone with MFP technical skills wants to volunteer setting up the monthly group. I'm happy to continue as a contributor. And I need this place to come to keep myself in check and stay supported.

@globalhiker You might be onto something. I don't think she would say to start another thread if we like because there was always a new thread every month. Weird, indeed.
