Lazy and 75

How to boost my energy level while having fun?

Any exercise activity or added movement of any type that you personally enjoy, I'd say. There are dozens of options. Even experimenting to find fun things can be enjoyable, approached with an open mind, IME. Getting good overall nutrition by combining food you find tasty and filling is a plus for energy, too.
I'm 69 and hedonistic . . . OK, reasonably lazy, too. But fun overcomes lazy, for me.

hi @donnawebster447672 welcome to MFP!
I’ll be 63 shortly, and my husband just turned 70. Maybe it’s my newsfeed targeting me, but I’m getting a flurry of articles about scientific research proving that remaining engaged helps with health and mental status as we age, and can help fob off dementia. What’s fun in your mind?
For us, it’s walking the dog (when there’s not a heavy curtain of pollen in the air , lol).
He loves tai chi. (And credits it with minimizing damage when he fell down the last stair in our daughter’s new house last month!) he also volunteers at several places that fit his interests, serves on the boards of a couple, and does social media for several groups, too. He joined Kiwanis a couple of years ago and absolutely loves both what they do, and the social aspect of it.For me, I just have fun working out, volunteering at a local art museum, and traveling.
Our gym is affiliated with a hospital, but is also open to the public. It tends to serve an older clientele. I’ve got several friends who get free memberships via Silver Sneakers to another local gym. There’s a Y nearby. All three offer classes that cater to older or less/newly active people. Chair yoga, stretching, basic and yin yoga. Aquafit is a super social activity (or not, depending on how you work out) and those ladies and gents obviously look forward to it. We’ve got some ladies who attend who are 90+.
OTOH some of my cardio classes have ladies in their upper 70’s in there kicking tail. Ditto for my power yoga classes.
Think about what you value and what you find fun. What are you passionate about, or want to learn more about?
Keeping your mind active is just as important I read an article yesterday that simply learning new skill can delay or prevent dementia. I’m determined to learn to weave, starting with “friendship bracelets” , then working my way to freehand beading, and then something called an “inkle” loom. I’m teaching myself off online sources I’m typing this right now surrounded by my nest of threads and first attempts, lol. Seriously, I can see why the effort to learn a new skill keeps your mind engagedYour job is to get out there, keep your mind and social skills active, and keep your body moving.
I have no intentions of quitting and going down like my mom and dad did. I want to stay healthy and participate in life for the long haul. It’s up to us to make these years truly the “golden years.
You and I have a lot left to learn and to share!!!!
Hope you’ll share back what you’ve decided to do.
