Last year when I needed new jeans, I was resigned to having to shop in the men’s section of a store instead of the women’s section. Not only that, but I had to buy the biggest size that they had in store, which barely fit!

Although I loved that the pocket in men’s jeans are sooo much deeper and the quality of the denim is faaar superior, knowing what size I was really shone a light on how much weight I’d gained.

Today when putting on my jeans, I realized that they were getting threadbare in the thighs. Not wanting to have an embarrassing experience while out in public, I decided to go shopping for jeans.

I know in the month that I’ve been tracking, working on sticking as close to 1200 calories as possible with high protein and low carbs, while also no food being off limit so I stick to this lifestyle change, and walking about three times a week, my belt went from barely fitting last year to the end of it now being at the right of my waist, near the elbow.

I was hopeful that I might have gone down from a 44 (Canadian) to a 40 or 42. Nope! First pair of jeans I tried was a 38 and while they fit nearly everywhere, they wouldn’t quite button up. Tried my second pair of jeans, another 38 in a slightly different style, and they fit like a glove!!!

I’m not sure if that counts going down six or three sizes, since jeans are in even sizes, but regardless, I’m excited at my NSV!

Weighing myself on a bathroom scale is faaar too triggering for me, so I’m only going to do that every 4-6 months at the doctor’s office.

Have a great day!

good for you! I hope you’ll be back every time you need new jeans, not because they’re threadbare, but because they’re falling down as you continue to lose!!!!
