Discouraged

Well I just finished my 3rd week of using this app and now I’m going into my 4th week. The first two weeks were great. I lost 3.4 pounds but this week even though I stuck to the plan perfectly I didn’t lose weight. Is this normal? I figured after I had lost a little bit of weight I might hit a plateau and it might get a little harder but I didn’t expect it so close to the beginning. I’m not going to quit though because at least I didn’t gain any weight just wanted to get a little feed back on it and see if anyone else has had the same issues.

It's normal. It takes a little bit for your body to adjust. Often a big drop the first week, water weight, same weight next week or two. Then the real fat loss begins. You will probably have a smaller weight loss soon.
It's also important to weigh the same time, under the same circumstances each time. For instance, first thing in the morning, after a quick trip to the bathroom, before eating or drinking. And a weight averaging app, like libra or weight tracker helps you see the big picture, instead of focusing on the little daily blips in weight.
Good luck! Sounds like you've got a good attitude that will help you through this!

Hang in there. Be sure you are weighing food, not measuring. Be consistent in the amount of water and salt intake, as well as when and how you weigh yourself, and don't pay too much attention to weight changes over the short term. It takes time to see fat loss, and that's what really matters. You may want to start taking measurements to help see fat loss in a different way. It may also help you see where you tend to lose first, if you don't know (I lose from top to bottom, for example).
I honestly wouldn't even worry about the "pace" at which you are losing, or try to adjust it, until you are down about 10 lbs, b/c only then can you really see how you are doing, imo, esp. if you are still having monthly cycles.
And don't forget that exercise can cause swelling, additional salt means more water retention, a new food may have an unanticipated impact briefly, etc., etc. You have to be in this for the long, slow haul. It's infuriating at first, but once you accept it for real, and the calm settles in, you'll be able to relax and trust the process. Good luck.
