Mindset for weight loss

I believe it is pretty common knowledge that our mindset is important when it comes to weight loss.

I just watched this YouTube video by Rebekah Matznick titled 'Your Brain Is Stopping You From Losing Weight (And How To Fix It)' (I've watched a few other of her videos, I have not purchased any of her services or products and have no affiliation with her). There is one comment about body type that I haven't found to be very consistent (I've done several of those body type quizzes and get different body types from different quizzes). But the rest of the video, I think is very on-point to the general 'vibe' we share here in the MFP community.

I really like her line:

  • starting over every Monday is like planting a seed and then digging it up every week to see if it is growing.

Consistent, small, sustainable changes have made all the difference for me. Weight loss is slow going with ups and downs. I've learned to not sweat the small stuff and just move on and keep moving. I didn't put on the weight overnight, I should not expect to lose it overnight either.
