    5/31 - 169.6 -

    6/01 - 170.3 -

    6/02 - 169.7 - I thought this weekend was a horror show with food (it was) but not so bad the scale went terribly off the rails. I'll take it. I know there's definitely dehydration involved between going golfing during the hottest part of the day Saturday with limited water and then Sunday meal prepping and totally losing track of time followed by motorcycle riding in the afternoon (no water). Hopefully the process of rehydration won't cause too much of an uptick in the coming days and I can see progress instead. Meals prepped, gym planned, all is good!

    🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️06/02-192.2 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 193.7) I’m starting to lose some of the Pizza bloat from Saturday night. What a relief! My weight continues to trend down which is giving me the confidence that I need. Now, if I can avoid self-sabotage I’ll be happy! A gloriously beautiful day here in Northern Michigan. We’ve had frost warnings every night including last night. But tomorrow is supposed to be 90 degrees! Another Opportunity to Stay True to Oneself MFP Friends 🤩

    I've been fairly awful lately for many reasons. Of course I know better, blah blah & yak yak etc...

    We always do. Last round closed 2.6 lbs up and 20lbs overweight.

    Nearly everyone can recite what's healthy. Performance is more complex.

    I'm anticipating a 😈Hellish😈 two weeks. To make it through, my goals are simple:

    * Show Up - 10 of 10 posts

    * Weigh daily

    * Post body composition twice

    Rnd 298 SW 159.6 lbs

    5/31 - 156.6lbs

    My day was so lazy that laziness itself would ask what's your problem if this were possible. No further comment. 😉

    6/1 - 156.2 lbs

    Tanita Scale: fat 17.8%/ water 60.0%/ lean calc 22.2%

    Not yet respectable but I'm doing better!

    6/2 - 156.6 lbs

    I'm still a hot mess but I keep trying.

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 298 (my 228th). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine.

    Goals for every round;

    First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!

    to weigh less at the end of the round than the start

    be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

    I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    Spoiler Warning

    I am the driver in my life, not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life. "Health is wealth".

    5/30 142 – (trend 141) 4.07 miles walked – drove 60 miles to meet up with DD & DGS for the day, steps were obtained whilst waiting for then to arrive! Not proud of the last 3 days, I’ve just gone ferrel!! At least I’ve got a 0.2 pound loss, but it seems that this is becoming a pattern as the last 3 rounds of the previous round I ran amuck too ☹. Maybe I should look at just a 7 day round lol ! I’ll just move on and keep trying.

    EW Rnd 297 142

    SW Rnd 298 141.6

    5/31 141.6 (trend 141.1) 9.06 miles walked. A good start to the round with sensible eating yesterday. Up to Sheffield today for youngest DGD's 4th birthday party, there will be cake, but intend being sensible on everything else.

    6/1 144.6 (trend 141.6) ouch! ☹. Overindulged at the party yesterday & no exercise either 😪.

    6/2 142.6 (trend 141.7), that’s better, yesterday & during the night after the party I felt very bloated and uncomfortable, last night I was so tired, I went to bed early and slept all through, feel so much better this morning – lesson learnt? 13.74 miles walked.

    6/3 142.6 (trend 141.8) 9.82 miles walked.

    6/4

    OSW: 237.8 (Nov. 2016.) I was actually at 250 in 2011 or so…
    OGW: 199 (just to say I did)
    Maintenance Range Goal: 200-205

    Simple Goal for this round:
    -Log it before you eat it.
    -Hit it hard on the front end of the ten days.

    Round 298 Posts
    This is my posting format….

    Month/Day: Scale Reading - First thing today after bathroom visit before getting dressed. (Calories In – day before)/ Comment

    5/27/25 : 225.2 SW before.

    5/31: 226.4 (1917 CI)
    I did not weigh yesterday, so my SW is from my last step on a scale. I can’t complain about this morning’s reading after the road trip.

    I want to hit the next 6 days hard because I have another road trip the end this round. I am not going to take a scale because it’s a fly-in fishing trip in Ontario. We have weight restrictions for the final leg of the trip as we fly to a remote lake/fishing camp. Seven days of bliss as we haul Walleye and Pike over the gunnels of the boat. Catch and release except for what we eat for lunch every day. The food will be plentiful, but we will take it all in with us.

    6/1: 226.6 (1899 CI)
    I need to declare war on carbs. I am sure there is residual damage from my road trip.

    6/2: 228.0 (!)
    Gads! So yesterday I declared war on carbs…. I lost count of all the mindless carbs I ate. DW took cookies to a potluck and brought some home. I ate one every time I walked by the container. I am so weak between the ears.

    6/3: 227.4 (1545 CI)
    No cookies yesterday in spite of DW idea that there needs to be a clear cookie jar on the counter now. (because her mom did) We have grandchildren to spoil! I realize that nobody is physically forcing me to eat anything, so I don’t blame DW.

    Starting to pack for the trip. We all need to keep it to 45-50 pounds of “stuff” so the pontoon plane can lift off the lake.

    I enjoy reading everyone’s posts with my coffee each morning.

    Highest weight 242 lbs Lowest weight 142 lbs (2019) Re-start JGMTD Feb 2024 @ 204 lbs

    Round 297 End Weight 174.4

    5/31 174.0
    6/01 174.0
    6/02 175.8

    6/03 173.6 Brunch bloat destroyed! I keep saying to myself that I’ll be less busy each week but the really that is in my imagination.

    I’m capable! And I’m so incredibly fortunate and privileged to have agency over my life. I do not take this for granted.

    It’s not that I have to do things that I don’t want to do- it’s that I don’t have enough time to do everything I want to do!

    I’ll end today at boxing which always feels really good.

    I really shouldn’t joke about something so serious… My afternoon self is polar opposite of my morning self… But not to that extreme (SS) for sure. Perhaps a little black coffee would do the trick to pick me back up…. My mom used to enjoy a weebit of “Sanka“ every afternoon around 4 o’clock. Maybe I should do same. 😎 I hope you have an amazing trip!

    @quiltingjaine thank you for sharing your story and I’m sorry your husband had to go through such illness. We didn’t get much pushback over refusing the 💉because all of our friends & neighbors knew what had happened to my mom… they also know me… almost “Amish” - a compliment.

    @Chapter_3 Ironically, an article popped up yesterday on the drink to prevent dementia. The drink was caffeinated coffee. Bummer cause I was trying to get myself back to total decaf. Maybe I won't make that effort after all.

    @astroamy I love the pics! and your red hair is so very appropriate in Dublin!! <3

    @deepwoodslady Glad your vaccine responses have been good. I so wish they were predictable. On another note, I see your reference to "muffin top" and for me, that could be something I ate, or that lovely ring above my waistband. :'(

    @quiltingjaine Congratulations on finding your dress. I MIGHT have mine. So sorry to read of the vaccines experiences in your family. Overall, they are such a tricky situation balancing the needs/rights of each individual, and trying to establish herd immunity that protects the vulnerable but makes demands on each of us. Ideally, these are balanced.

    @Soccrr99 yes, yesterday, I should have looked at the scale, despite not wanting to. Your logic is spot on!

    @_JeffreyD_ War on carbs…I have lost my "wars" the past few days as well. Going to pre-track my day today, and stick to it. Just get through ONE day which hopefully will act as a re-set

    @tinas007 welcome! It's a great group (Yes, I am biased :P )

    @patriciafoley1 I hope your birthday was fantastic!!!

    @patriciafoley1 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

    @SModa61 Thank you. I’m sorry you’re having such a hard time finding “the dress” and wish I could send my daughter to you. She is such a blessing! She knows I hate shopping for clothes but her “just try this on” game works. I honestly would NEVER have tried on the dress that I bought because I’m not crazy about the color (dusty pink.)

    I can:

    ✅ Show up/post daily
    ✅ Stay consistent/Don't change the plan
    ✅ Push through the hard moments
    ✅ Make progress—physically, mentally, emotionally.
    ✅ Start the momentum

    Measurable Daily Goals
    🚶🏽- Closing my rings M-S Move = 700/Exercise = 45/Stand = 12)
    🍎- Tracking/Under Calorie Budget (~ 1650 ~)
    ✅ - Macros - Protein (75g - 100g) Carbs < 75g
    💧- Water - 50 oz minimum
    🚫 - No Wine
    ⬇️- Downward trend

    🚶🏽🍎✅💧🚫⬇️

    SW RND 298 ~ 231.4 Goal this round 227.6 or less than started, whichever comes first!
    ***Vanity Round *** Cute outfits, wearing a “belt”, loving what’s I see in the mirror!!! #FueledByVanity

    5/31 231.2 🚶🏽💧⬇️ Walked 2.9 miles yesterday, Calories over budget, so will probably show up tomorrow. Getting back out there for another walk. Not sure if I will get close to 3 miles but I will give it a go….
    6/1 232.2 🚶🏽🍎✅ Didn’t think I could do 3 days in a row at 3 miles, but I did. There was no pain, ok, minimal, so I kept going….i know i need a day of rest but I think Im going to push to Tuesday (work day) when I only do treadmill….Calories 1752, so bump from the day before, I guess. I’ve got to get back to logging my CICO in my spreadsheet so I can start to troubleshoot the lack of downward trend.
    6/2 231.8 🚶🏽🍎✅⬇️ Going for day #4 today then rest tomorrow. Calories 1686. Water!!!
    6/3 230.4 🚶🏽🍎✅⬇️ Yes!! 4 days in a roll clocking 3 miles each day and happy to see the scale come down. Today, active rest day. I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes. It's a work day so I'll be sitting for about 6 hours but have nothing else physical planned for the day. Calories 1964. I've been focusing on eating (dinner) earlier…between 3 & 4…but unfortunately that leaves room for snacks..but as long as I can control the snacks to stay under calorie goal… Win???

    @SModa61 ~ ok, I'll keep an open mind re the vaccine. How are you feeling now?

    @Chapter_3 ~ Your time spent with your friend with ALS sounds priceless. It makes us appreciate our blessings. I wish her the best. Happy Birthday to Tucker!!! 🎂🥳🙌🏽🎈 Thanks for sharing your experience with your Mom and vaccines. Sorry you loss her, especially in this manner. I had not taken a flu shot until my grandchild was born in 2020 and that was the year of COVID as well. There was a LOT (as you know, I'm sure) of controversy when the COVID vaccines came to light. You are soooo right that you need to know your own history and risk factors. Definitely Worth it to post! Love the post on Discipline…💯

    @astroamy ~ thank you for sharing your vacation pictures. Looks like you had a wonderful time.

    @GayleKCR ~ Gayle, I am happy that you are finding inspiration in my post. I just needed to light a fire and do something "else". My focus has been all over the place, which, I guess you'd say…there was no focus!! 😅 The last .25 miles are killer but I'm going to keep working until they are not….

    @patriciafoley1 Happy Belated Birthday to you!!! 🥳🎈

    @MSWDiet ~ {{{hugs}}} yes, keep trying. You will see it come. And yes, sometimes we need those "lazy" days, just don't string multiple ones in a row, which I'm very guilting of doing!

    @TheBugaloos ~ I still see a downward trend… Alcohol is my challenge. I enjoy my wine but I have cut back for the sake of seeing some pounds go bye bye….

    @tinas007 ~ Welcome to our lovely group!

    @quiltingjaine ~ Sorry both you and your husband have had bad reactions to flu shots…and wise to avoid them going forward. You are right, everyone should have a choice of what THEY want to do with their bodies!
