Thanks for the follow back on Strava, @tarun_yadavA! I followed 5 other members from this group on Strava, and none of them followed me back. I also sent 3 follow requests to private members from this group on Strava. and none of them approved my request, nor followed me back. either.

In addition, my request to join the MFP group on Strava was ignored. I know, for a fact, that at-least 3 of the 21 admins of the Strava group are actually deceased, but 17 others (I'd say 18, but 1 admin has 2 accounts listed) could have easily added me.

I can take a hint. As a whole, you're not a very friend group, at-all.🙌

    @FranzNOTHans

I went and looked after I saw the 'follow' on me. There is no request to join the group. I check every few days and try to verify, but there are no requests. Sorry I do not have a way to do instant responses. I checked this morning and this is the first I saw of a new follow on me. No, I do not spend all day on there, Strava or here. I hope you find what you are seeking in a running group.

Afternoon all. Mid-week longish run of 12k for me today. Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow .

@FranzNOTHans, give us a chance. We are awfully friendly actually, it’s just that we’re all also awfully busy and easily distracted. Feel free to friend me on Strava - I’m more often there than here. And our admin, @AlphaHowls is usually exceptional when it comes to adding people to the group - perhaps there was a glitch.

Dude, Franz, you join a running group, do not post any runs, and in two days dismiss it as unwelcoming?

MFP is a free site, and a million threads are running, with initiative you can find exactly want you want here

    This running thread? Dunno.

Well I probably am not ready to run yet. That little 5 min run was definitely not repeatable yesterday. As suspected this is not a 2 day injury. @daria0919 OH NO!!!! I will have to go get an xray done in a week or so if this does not get better. So sorry you are back in the boot again with a fracture. Our feet just have so many small bones in them I guess. Honestly tho not sure if it's not a displaced fracture that it would change my approach except maybe I could get one of those handicap signs for my car? Look at us all gimpy. sigh.

I hope @FranzNOTHans is joking around. 😳I am not on strava a lot and sometimes the software changes so fast I don't catch things. With my injury you probably don't want to follow me just yet…. LOL.

    @daria0919 oh no! That's awful 😓

@SummerSkier do your cats ever bring you presents? Dead mice and dead birds?

My mother's (late) cat used to, but as she got older shed bring them in but sometimes didn't quite kill them - so we've had a live mouse and a frog

Dude barely gave anyone 24 hours to follow back.

I go in a few times a day as I run daily & get kudos' throughout the day. So his follow/follow back wouldn't have been there that long.

Assuming he sent it to everyone around the same time... Like 12 hours before sending and then b!t{hing about it here!?

@daria0919 that sucks! Would love to have you here to hang out. Keep the cattlebells going!

@SummerSkier yucks, not a fan of anykind of roaches, they stink! probably worse than a skunk for such a tiny thing.

    Hi everyone!

I got in a successful tempo run on the treadmill this morning with 5x 5 minute intervals. I ran a total of 11.7km.

@daria0919 I am glad your husband is doing well post surgery! So sorry to hear about your foot! I hope you make a speedy recovery!

@SummerSkier I hope your injury is improving and you can get at those miles again soon! It really sucks to be sidelined!

@Scott6255 Training on cruise ship deck sounds like great fun!

The zoo yesterday was great fun btw. The 5 kids I was with liked the pelicans most of all. There was an older lady helping out at the zoo who taught the kids their names and how to pet them without scaring them and also that they liked to play fetch like dogs. It was really fun to watch the kids throwing sticks towards their huge open mouths (which they would then spit out to be thrown again). You could tell the pelican were enjoying themselves too ;).

    41.7/170km for June.

I waited until about noon to go out today; it was hot and miserable. I knew that it was going to be and didn't want to wait until later afternoon because then I would not get out at all. Yesterday was warmer, but the humidity wasn't as bad.

Thank you for your kind comments. I tried to acknowledge you separately, and the site is wonky for me tonight. Probably the site is fine, and I am wonky.

    6/1 - 2.15 miles, 54F, Cloudy.

    6/2 - 2.02 miles, 71F, Sunny.

    6/3 - 2.75 miles, 60F, Cloudy.

    6/4 - 1.60 miles, 87F, Sunny.

    6/5 - 1.50 miles, 78F, Mostly Sunny.

How can I make my mileage posts single-spaced?

You're doing great with your running @AlphaHowls . Hugs where your mom is concerned.

    Welcome @ummleeban .

Sounds like you are doing great @WarmJellyfish . Any improvement is great!

    Hahaha @John772016 "not a boyfriend/girlfriend/any friend/remote acquaintance/someone you barely tolerate/run pace"

Oh no @daria0919 . I hope you heal quickly and, of course you are welcome to stick around and cheer us on while you heal.

    Nice running @ContraryMaryMary .

@SummerSkier I hope your foot heals and doesn't require an x-ray visit. Roaches are so gross. I'm glad you got rid of it.

    Nice running @tarun_yadavA .

@Laurz9191 That sounds like a fun time at the zoo. Who knew that pelicans liked to play fetch?

    1 June Walked 1.10 miles - Ran 0.00 miles
    2 June Walked 0.90 miles - Ran 2.35 miles - Driveway laps - Mowed 1h44m56s (2.32 miles)
    3 June Walked 0.94 miles - Ran 2.31 miles - Driveway laps
    4 June Walked 2.60Miles - Ran 0.00 miles - Mostly driveway laps - Gym 54m16s
    5 June Walked 3.05 miles - Ran 0.20 miles - Driveway laps

    13.45/70 mile goal

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, so am posting two workouts today.

Yesterday, I went to the gym fairly early. I walked 0.3 miles on the treadmill there before doing the workout with my person trainer. I did pretty much a "normal workout." Things of note are that she had me do heal raised squats. As I knew would happen, my legs are soooo sore today. Also, I knew that my left arm is a lot weaker than my right, but it really showed yesterday. She had me do single arm seated rows with 30 # weight. I could barely do 10 reps with my left arm, but the right one was like "This is easy peasy. Where's the weight?" If I could get them evened out, bench press would probably be a lot easier.

Mom had gone with me, so after the gym, we spent a couple of hours running errands. I was beat by the time I got home, so laid on the couch a bit and then got up and made myself do a driveway walk.

I worked all day at daycare today, in the one year old class. They were a tad bit less wild today, thank goodness. It's a good thing they are so cute and cuddly. 😉 When I got home, I made myself go out for a driveway wun. I really did just run a little bit every lap and at a slow pace. However, I did do a quick 0.20 miles toward the end. That short spurt was at a 9:25 min/mile pace. Overall, the pace today was 14:45 min/mile. Avg HR was 131 with a max of 161bpm.

Has anyone else been having issues with their Garmin watch. I've had to turn it off and on again twice this week in order to get it to synch correctly with Garmin Connect. And, it's not showing my stress levels - which could be because I "reset" it, I guess. I'm just hoping that it isn't time for a new one. It doesn't seem like I have had this one very long, but then again, wasn't New Year's Day just yesterday? LOL

    @emptydog

I do not know how to do it in the space itself, but I have mine on a notepad on desktop. So, I just copy paste and it is single spaced

I can't so explicitly but some things like stress level or fitness level etc don't give readings until five or ten days of data is gathered. I hope it gets back to normal, considering giving it a week or two before you jump on buying a different one.

    June Goal: 140 Miles

    6/1: 11.02 miles
    6/2: 6.06 miles
    6/3: 3.33 miles
    6/4: 6.05 miles
    6/5: 6.02 miles

    32.47/140 miles completed for Jun

I'm posting two runs again today. Yesterday I ran a 6-mile interval run. It was a good run. It's been rainy and humid. I've seen lots of frogs. Today I ran 6 miles. I got out a little later than I needed to, but I managed to get it done and still have time to not be late to work.

Good to see such nice activity here. I am sorry that we had a "huffer' as I really thought he was going to be a nice active contributer here and strava. I think my foot is gradually improving. Ups and downs. Not linear. But it gives me hope. I am still at the stage where I can't imagine running a mile yet tho which is difficult but yall keep me going!

@kgirlhart glad the new job is settling in nicely. I know that was a stressful month or so for you.

I don't use garmin but I have had some weird computer stuff at work the past day or so where meetings just disappeared from my cal. But I think it is probably user error. 😏

    Hi everyone,

I ran 10.1km on the treadmill this morning and then did a bit of weight lifting.

    51.8/270km for June.
