Why my steps count reduced automatically in the app?

eg. Yesterday my steps count was 12586 but it reduced 10k

It could be that the app assumes that just wandering around your home will give you a minimum of 2000 steps. That is part of your basic activity level (if set to sedentary, I assume) so wouldn't count as extra exercise. If your level was lightly active, then 5000 steps would be daily activity rather than deliberate exercise.
FWIW, I've noticed my watch adds steps when I pet the dog or drive the car. I don't have my watch linked to MFP since I don't consider those active calories. I just log my deliberate exercise (walks, runs, bike rides, etc.) manually. I've noticed that the burn rate from my watch is a little higher than the number given by MFP, but I'd rather underestimate my exercise than overestimate it.
