I'm posting this a couple weeks early because I'm going to be distracted for a whileβ¦.
Happy International Skinny Dip Day (second Saturday in July) around the world and National Salad Month and National Grilling Month (and National Picnic Month), at least in the Estados Unidos.
@enlightenme3 is still traveling, so I'm posting this month's challenge again.
π Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. π
I joined MFP in February 2018. I had been trying on and off to lose some extra weight. MFP gave me the tools I needed to lose 30 pounds, and I have tried to keep it off since then. I've mostly been successful, but there for sure have been times when I slid back. Only continued vigilance will work to be successful, and fortunately that's possible! It can be nice to have short- and medium-term goal to break down a larger goal into more manageable chunks. So a monthly challenge with a weekly check-in is GREAT. I've been contributing to this challenge for several years, and with @enlightenme3 temporarily away, I'll try to keep it running.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress betterπ. I'm setting this month up for Saturday check-in. Do what works best for YOU.
Pick whatever unit suits you -- pounds, kilograms, stones, or even Newtons.

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.
Itβs not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!π

Thank you for starting this up for July! My birthday is on August 18th; so I'd like to really commit on staying on track and being accountable throughout the summer. I'd love to try again. My first July weigh-in will be Wednesday, June 25th and I will give an update every Wednesday with the final weigh-in for this challenge on Saturday, August 2nd.
My chart will go like below:
July Start Weight (lbs.): βοΈin on 6/25.
July Goal Weight (lbs.): 152 or below. (I'd really like to be under 150 by then, but I don't think I can do it.)

I'd love to join you all. I used to be so disciplined, but now I really need the motivation and accountability of others. I turned 60 last week, and I think weight loss and exercise gets harder as we age, especially if, like me, you let yourself go right to hell over the last few years.

I am changing my first weigh-in date for this challenge to Wednesday, July 2nd with the final July weigh-in on Thursday, July 31st:
July Goal Weight (lbs.): 155 or below. (I'dΒ really like to be closer to 150, but I'm not sure I can do that because I have regained more weight than I expected over the past couple of weeks.)Ultimate Goal Weight (lbs.): 139 or below (for BMI under 25). I'm aiming to get there by New Year's Eve.

I am in. I have been with mfp on and of Since 2014. I have reached my goal on several occasions. But have eventually fallen back on bad habits. This month seems like a good place to kickstart the focus and logging. I have been back but not making progress for a few months now.
I have been to nice to myself aiming for a quarter kilo and not actually changing anything. I have logged at the end of the day instead of planing and logging. Not much use of logging when you do it in bulk and see the excess after.
Now I have a child free four weeks so all my meals can be planned with health as the focus. I plan on setting hairy goals and pushing myself this month.

My vacations starts last friday of july. I will be plunged into family and relaxation.
By the time that happens I hope to have reached 80 kg witch is more than 1 kg a week but seeing as I gained one kg since tuesday I feel confident I am a water lodged spoonge today and I will get a whoosh.

Hi all,
Would love to do this challenge guys. I have been with mfp for about 3 years at the start I logged, chatted and supported with others everyday for over 2 years and hit my goal weight of 130lb down from 160lb. I gradually I stopped logging and was maintaining well enough. However, over the last while my food habits have really gone down hill and I am currently as 138lb. I want to refocus and get back to a better way of eating my biggest downfall is evening snacks!!! This month seems like a good place to kickstart the focus and logging. Also I am off on holidays at the end of the month.

I hope July goes better than June as far as mobility. I had major knee and back pain issues in June and my walking etc was very limited. Now things are more normal and I hope to get out and move more. I have 8 lbs left to my goal wt which will be -73 lbs when I get there in hopefully late august. My goal for July is -1.0 lb per week. July 30:June was tough and I haven't seen a ton of progress since early May. Started a new job, have a new puppy, and my routines have been all out of whack the last few months. Hoping for a good July and working to get back on track! I don't anticipate a good weigh-in on the 2nd after quick, impromptu vacation, but I'm committed moving forward through the rest of the month!
