Ability to “check off” that i ate a food that I planned

As a my fitness pal user who uses the app to plan my daily meals in advanced I would like the ability to check off the food in a planned meal/ day so that i can easily verify that I didn’t miss anything in plan or don’t duplicate meals.
as a fitness plan user i would like to see nutrition calculations that show both what the planned day totals are and what is currently available/ not checked off.
Current state: when i plan a day i have to manually/ mentally review my plan to see what’s left. I often eat out of order of what the meal order is. Additionally, if i decide I want to pivot/ change a meal I have to delete the planned food in order to see what flexibility I have.
workaround: I could use one of my 5 meals to hold “meals left to eat” and then change the meal as I actually do. This is clunky and less conducive to making sure I’m eating the right amount at the right time to fuel a workout.
