Not new here but I lost over 80 pounds. It started with this app.

hey yall I was 245 pounds now I’m 160. This app is what got me going and got me started with calorie counting. Now I go swimming and all. Every little bit counts. I even had a broken ankle this year from a bad MVA and my ankle is 90% healed. I used to be overweight and I went running age 13 using this app to help me lose weight. My uncle showed me this app. Since then I became skinny. For years I was skinny. The last two years I blew up like a huge balloon. I was 135 for sooo long. Nice and thick but skinny! Then I hung out with this bigger girl who got me into some BAD HABITS not gona lie. Stopped hanging out with her and focused on myself. Started with calorie counting again like I did at age 13. Then I did a little intermittent fasting to get it going faster. Now I just don’t eat meat on wednesdays annd Fridays. I swim more. I drink tea with no sugar or milk. (U lose weight that way) (I also like to drink different types of tea. So many yummy floral teas out there! I recommend the brand Yogi) And now here I am a year later almost back at my healthy weight. I only have 30 pounds to go for me to be happy with myself. I’m gonna do it. I’m no where done yet. I’m about 80% there :) I won’t give up. I’m basically thick I look good right now. But I want the SMALLEST flab on my tummy to go. It has to lol. I use oils to keep from loose skin and it works. I have very light stretch marks u can barely see and my skin is getting nice and firm again like im almost skinny again. I’m just so happy. And I didn’t lose it and look crazy. Like I don’t have a bunch of loose skin everywhere. I’m just so glad it didn’t turn out like that. I recommend olive oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil. Put it on after every shower while ur still damp. Then dry off with a towel. And u will have perfect skin during ur weight loss journey. Good luck everyone. :)

I’m so happy for you! Your journey sounds just like me 45 years ago. While the weight and apperance are a huge deal now, make sure you add several more ‘markers’ of success. Such as being able to run, jump and dance with energy. Another marker is to determine non food related things you like and value and keep those close to your heart. Develop the skill to be satisfied with yourself. To be kind when you make mistakes. As you age you will encounter so many changes in your body. Love each step and change. This will take just as much perseverance as you demonstrate now. Congrats! 😃
