2025 Summer 5% Community Challenge - a testimony from member named Sharon

I'm an over all leader with the 2025 Summer 5% Community Challenge. We have asked our dear members to fill out an Introduce Yourself to the team.
Here's what Sharon said, I was impressed and wish to highlight her!
4. How many 5% Challenges have you completed? Please share some of the "Wins" that keep you coming back. I lost count. My wins have been maintaining weight loss and staying within a 3% range.

Well done, Sharon! It's encouraging when you see others do it because it shows it is possible. I've been participating in 5% Challenges for about 12 years and still struggle with my weight, but I weigh a lot less than I would if I hadn't participated. It keeps weight loss on the front burner, and I'm aware of how much I'm exercising and exactly what I'm eating. I've developed some healthier habits over time and keep adding on to do more. Last season I finally lost 5% of my weight in the 8 weeks for the first time! I had come close several times and finished during the break between challenges, but was the first time I reached goal during the challenge. That was so fun!
But regardless of how much weight I lose, and I usually do lose something, I keep coming back every season because the core group of my team has become like a family to me. Members come and go, but there are some who have been a part of that team for years. I feel supported, encouraged, and accepted where I'm at with my physical limitations. I focus on what I can do instead of what I can't do and keep pushing. And even when the scales don't show it, I'm healthier in other ways.
