With only 10lbs to lose this will be slow. Accept it. Don't try to rush things. And everything that glass of milk above me said.

I agree with the milk and sea creature above. I'm another who lost weight - around 50 pounds - at age 59-60, while menopausal, hypothyroid. That was 9+ years ago, and I'm still at a healthy weight.

None of those things are weight loss doom, despite what skeezy marketers in the blogosphere may claim in their clickbait.

It was simpler than I expected, once I got serious and committed to the process. The payoff was huge.

Focus on taking the needful steps, not on the self-defined roadblocks, and you can succeed.

I just turned 52, and have lost 70lbs in the last 10 months. The first place to always start is food diary - what you eat is more important than exercise.

But, don't forget the exercise - resistance training is very important for postmenopausal women to keep our bones strong. Also, it's the best way not to lose muscle mass when you lose weight.

I second those that say the 10 lbs will be slow - the body doesn't like to lose weight, especially if you are close to where you need to be.

a digital food scale is the key to my success. i use it for almost everything - weighing raw sweet potato in grams, peanut butter, bananas, cheese, etc

I feel your pain. I don't know if I have menopause but probably perimenopause. I was picking up weight and generally unhappy. I started on Ozempic in December. Even on it I have lost weight really slowly. 5kg or 6kg this whole year but I'm happier.

I'm not saying go onto it. I don't follow a diet as such which could also be why I'm losing weight slowly.
