    Good morning! I’ve been with this group since Jan 2025. I am 53 yrs old and my overall goal is improved health. In keeping with this months theme of small changes, my July goals include:

    • increase protein
    • Workout/walk 4/7 days
    • Limit alcohol consumption
    • Starting weight 135
    • July weight goal 130

    FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH:

    🎠🎠🎠🎠🎠 07/01 –188.8 βœ… (Trend Weight – 190.4) Well I was certainly hoping for a bigger drop than 0.2 but I guess slow progress is still progress. It was a very good dietary day filled with good choices and I worked out on the bike for 30 minutes (2 sessions of 15 minutes). Intentional exercise is something I really need to keep working in. Today is my son that lives at home and my first DGS’s birthdays. We will be going out to dinner out of town tonight. Dinner won’t be until about 7:30. I’ve been sticking to my guns and carefully choosing what I’m eating this afternoon. My son is turning 29 and my grandson 19.

    Hi, I’m Jenny – 60 years old and 5’6”, working toward re-losing the weight I gained during a stressful time. Goal for July: Consistency! IF, logging & moderate daily workouts.

    7/1 – 213.4 – did a weights & cardio workout and ready to make some solid progress this month!

    7/2 – 212.0 – did standing pilates workout

    Well in terms of my non tracking June goals:


    **Eat out only 4 days a month- 6 times, so a little bit over, but will try again this month. And it really did make a difference with my weight I think.
    **If I have a drink try to bring cals down to 2350 cals max. Plan 2 snacks. 2/3 times met. This is a big goal for me, bc I dont drink a lot, but when I do I end up eating a ton of junk food.

    So resetting those goals for July.

    I didn't track calories yesterday, but my weigh in was 159.8. Not bad, as I've been on vacation this week and have been a little self- indulgent lol.

    JULY GOALS

    July goals:

    ** Weigh in weekly on Wednesdays.
    **Track calories every day.
    **Stick to my calorie goals (1600)
    **Eat out only 4 days a month
    **If I have a drink try to bring cals down to 2350 cals max. Plan 2 snacks.

    πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ07/02- 190.0 ❌ (Trend Weight – 190.4) I actually didn’t do too bad during the out-to-dinner and out-of-town birthday celebration mainly held for my son who turned 29 yesterday. I didn’t do too badly at the restaurant but for the rest of the night at home….humph. To say I was like a pig in a pig’s trough wouldn’t be 100% accurate. More like a wild boar in a pig’s trough who hasn’t seen food in weeks! Anyway, I really blew it with my self-sabotage. I know that’s what it was because I continued eating even when I was so full it was trying to come back up! Disgusting, I know. That’s a true binge! I’m grateful the scale wasn’t higher. I’m already working on a much better and healthier day today which I hope will show up for me tomorrow. I'm always so disappointed in myself and my relationship with food during these times. It's a continual battle and sometimes I give in but I never give up!

    My starting weight for the month is 272.4 😬 I gained some weight over the weekend because of a campout.

    My goal for this month is 4 lbs again, so 268.4

    July 2: calories βœ…, protein βŒβ¬‡οΈ, Water βœ…, exercise βœ…, no alcohol ❌ had one glass of wine out for dinner, but enjoyed a salad and portabella mushroom sandwich (no bun); so overall not bad. I’ve been consistent is getting up before work to do my Pilate videos and after dinner I took the dog for a walk. So overall a good day!!

    My small changes (this month's theme) may seem silly but are so completely necessary for me. I will save a lot of calories AND carbs if I will just stick to it! :

    1. No more than 5 crackers with my soup.
    2. Restrict my sauces, condiments, gravies etc to only small dollops or dribbles. This includes butter, ketchup, mayo, BBQ sauce, A-1 Sauce, All gravy, dressings, but ESPECIALLY sour cream! If you could see what I do to my baked potatoes or tacos you would probably be disgusted! NO MORE! It truly affects my macros in a negative way! So I will quit drowning my food with unnecessary sneaky calorie/carb bombs and start enjoying my actual food for what it is, without covering it all up!

NOW, to start making progress although I must be honest and say it may not be during this Holiday Independence Day weekend! I’ll do my best but Saturday’s BBQ and Sunday’s weigh in is going to be tough. However, it’s a new month and there is plenty of time to make any holiday set-backs a distant memory by the end of July.
