Hey there

My name is Kay and I’m trying to get back on track with my weight loss. I’ve slowly lost about 20lbs over the last year and I really want to make it a point to get started with some better habits. I think the hardest thing about it is getting out of my own way and actually making the commitment to do it.
I’ve lost weight before and it actually wasn’t difficult for me the first time around because I was so pumped, but I can honestly say that I’ve never been this unmotivated/lazy in my life. It’s so discouraging at times!
I just read something that stated “3,500 calories is equal to 1 pound of fat,” and that really blew me away because somehow I’ve gained back 4 whole pounds. Not accounting for water weight, that gain could potentially have been caused by an overconsumption of 14,000 CALORIES🤯🤯🤯🫠
So I have to do something, lol. I can’t continue to settle with this new norm.

Nothing motivates like success. Keep going and I bet the enthusiasm and motivation will soon follow!

Kay,
Thanks for your honest post. I agree it’s so easy to regain weight. It takes me one weekend to gain 3 pounds and then a month to take it off. 😐
Keep working hard. I remind myself often that being healthy feels better than that ice cream tastes. Sometimes it works 😁
keep up the great work
