Calorie goal keeps reverting back to 2979

Options

Premium user.

I want to set total calories to 2659 and protein to 154g. But keeps reverting back to whatever MFP seems to want.

Exercise calories is OFF so this is not the problem.

Ive tried using the app and the desktop login. Ive tried switching off the ability to swap from percentage and gram goals.

Any help would be great as really shouldnt be this difficult 😡

Same here. I have tried on Android and web. I set it to 1800 but the app sets it back to the calculated calorie goal based on the weekley weight loss/gain goal.

This had been working fine up until 2/3 days ago.

They did some update that seems to make your Goal Weight take priority over any nutrition goals you manually set. So if you adjust your Current Weight and Goal Weight, you'll see the calorie number change. However it doesn't let you change the macros so it's all just broken.

The current workaround I'm doing is setting the Nutrition Goals in the web app. That seems to get saved fine. You can still enter food in the mobile app and the foods will show up in the web app. Then, instead of tracking your Nutrition Goals in the mobile app, use the web app to track your calories/macros.

After looking at their recent Google Play Store reviews, I discovered a workaround:

"Updating the goals via the Edit at the top of the homepage should retain your settings as long as you do not visit the Goal settings vie More (…) in the bottom right."

This worked for me for now.
