    Original MFP starting weight (January 2018): 168.2
    December 31, 2024 Weight: 158.0 (10-day average 157.2)
    July 26 (Starting Weight for this challenge): 155.4 (10-day average 155.4)
    August goal: Get below the top of maintenance weight range (153 pounds)
    Ultimate goal: Stay in maintenance range between (absolutely 140 - 153 and ideally 142-148)

    I report scale weight and (ten day average weight), and I post on Saturdays.

    Total loss for August: Ugh. I'm now up 1.5 pounds in nine days. Not a good way to success. Even worse; I've erased almost all my loss for the whole YEAR - I'm down only 0.3 pounds for the year. Damn.

    Thanks @deepwoodslady. We are all works in progress. Mine just has been progressing the wrong way lately. The good news is that I'm technically still at a "healthy" weight. I'd still technically be in the healthy BMI range if I gained another pound and change. I'd also still technically be at a healthy weight if I lost 40 pounds, but I would be way too tiny in my estimation. My sweet spot is about 15 pounds less than I am currently. I maintained that weight for three years before slowly slipping back up. I've been up and down since then. I just need to stay focused if it really matters.

    Yes, I am back. I haven't given up. Looking forward not backwards.

    July 26: 198.5 lbs
    August 2: 195 lbs I have been hovering at this weight for a couple of months.
    August 9: 199 lbs 😲 overnight 4 lbs. Keep cool look at your 7 day trend weight of 195.7lbs.

    08/03 – 187.0 βœ… (Trend Weight – 187.8) I’ve been battling extra hunger daily since my travel day/weight gain. My body just wants to hold on or get back to what it was at it’s highest level. Caveman level self-preservation at work I guess. Yesterday was filled with very bad choices. I had company including extra grandchildren and it was nice to have a movie night and other fun activities but I behaved (around food) like one of the children! My portions were good even if the choices were bad. So does that even count? I grade myself a solid D+. Weight is still down some today so all progress was not lost. Today is another big day with all the folks still here. I’ll do better than yesterday!

    βš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈ08/10 – 183.0 βœ… (Trend Weight – 186.0) It’s been a pretty good week for me with the exception of one day that set me back for a minute (or two). I’ve pulled it back and am seeing the fruits of my labor. I’m aiming to stay on course and have another good week. I just have to keep asking myself, β€œhow bad do you want and need this Donna?”

    I didn’t expect week 1 to go this well. Thursday I ended up throwing up my dinner, but not sure why. And, Saturday was house cleaning day. I burned almost 3000 calories, but I allowed that to be a deficit and ate my calorie goal which pu me in the negative.

    I’ve already met my initial August goal, but I’m not going to change it to a lower number. I’m just going to keep going. If I lose more, good. If I don’t lose anymore in August and maintain this weight, that’s ok too. Just going to try not to gain the rest of August.

    Keep up the great work, everyone! I had a small overeating episode last eveningβ€”I basically wanted to hoover the fridge and I'm not sure why…maybe I didn't eat enough calories during the day.
