If you are new to the BLC: We are a 12 Week Challenge group comprised of 12 teams, made up of approximately 12 - 24 Challengers per team. We encourage Weight Loss the HEALTHY WAY! By taking it slow and steady... 1 - 2 pounds per week, One Glass of Water at a Time, One Healthy Choice at a Time, One Drop of Sweat at a Time.

I would HIGHLY recommend! This team challenge provides fun and sociability along with rigorous exercises in fitness, nutrition self-care and other goals you may be setting. I initially lost over 70 lbs. with the BLC!

Hello! My name is Rose and I am one of the captains for the Navy Ninjas Team. I joined BLC in 2008 and have stuck with it ever since. I love the weekly challenges and have learned so much about proper ways to diet and exercise. Thanks to my BLC teams, I got my weight down into ONEderland and kept going from there. I feel great! Photos of me at my highest weight and after I hit ONEderland. I have lost more weight since these photos were taken.
This is not like the TV show, Biggest Loser Challenge, where they make you workout until you puke. You go at your own pace and can alter certain exercises so they are doable for YOU. During the 12 weeks of the challenge we offer you workouts, Tone N' Tighten challenges, share how certain diets and exercises work for us along with other challenges such as drink your water and get your veggies in. We weigh in once a week and discuss how our diets are working for us, to stay accountable.
There is still room to join the Navy Ninjas team. If you need accountability we will give it to you. If you need a good ninja kick to get you moving, we'll give you that too! REGISTRATION FOR THE BLC59 FALL ROUND

I started my weight loss journey in January 2023. Started just by walking, started with a mile and added a little more each week. I also started tracking my calories on MFP, I lost 15 pounds the first few months, but then was getting bored. This was my usual weight loss journey - I would get bored and then quit and gain it all back (and then some) just to repeat the process all over again. Then found the challenges page on MFP and the Biggest Loser Challenge was one of those that I tried. Losing weight became fun with this challenge and I also met some wonderful people. It keeps me motivated and accountable.
I started at 228 pounds - two years later I reached my goal weight and lost 90 pounds. I learned that persistence not perfection is the key to success. I have successfully maintained my weight for nine months now! There is a team for everyone; do you need support, structure, accountability, or a challenge? We have teams for each of those! We even have a team for those that need to navigate the maintenance phase of their lives! Pick the one that fits your lifestyle!

The BRONZE WELLNESS WARRIORS is a team that is part of the BLC. This team has been integral to my own weight loss journey. I once weighed about 300 lbs. (I say "about" because I stepped on the scale, saw 295 lbs, stepped off and had a two-week meltdown-binge and didn't get on the scale again until my new life journey was underway.) That was 19 years ago. I now weigh 163. I have done some ups and downs during that time, but never ventured even close to that high number and the WARRIORS have been a huge part of my weight loss and maintenance success. Come check us out. We have people who count calories, those who count carbs, those doing keto, and those on GLP-1 drugs. We encourage and support whatever path they choose. This past round, one of our team members was the BIGGEST LOSER of the round from all of the teams involved. We'd love to add you to our friendship ranks!

Hi, I’m Caz, and I captain The Powerful Prism Panthers with Ruth and Bev and Ann.
I joined as a member at BLC27 having lost 34 pounds and was looking to learn how to maintain a healthy life sensibly and safely. With the support of the panthers I HAVE maintained ever since.

I have been with the BLC for many years, first on SparkPeople and now on MFP. Not only did it help me get to a healthy weight, but it gave me so many wonderful, supportive, engaging, amazing friends! I feel like I have friends all over the world who would gladly put me up for a night or two if I was ever in their area. There are so many wonderful tools and resources provided by the group. The effort you put in is up to you. There is NO pressure, except what you put on yourself. I love this group!!!!!! I can't imagine my life without it.

What is the BLC = Biggest Loser Challenge? A place where you can find like minded people who will cheer you on and encourage you to aim for your healthy goals and get there. You'll learn a lot about diet and exercise as we share what we are doing to lose weight…what apps we use to track food and exercise, who's videos are good to follow for exercise, what nutritionists give great advice online, how to GOYBAD = Get Off Your Butt and Dance! Who is your favorite exercise guru? I love to walk with Leslie Sanson or Jessica Smith, dance with Richard Simmons, workout with the Get Healthy UTV gang and more. You will most likely connect with people who are following the same diet program you are such as Weight Watchers. Just ask in your team.
We offer weekly challenges that you can choose to do or not. The challenges help earn points for your team as you compete against other teams. Challenges can be as simple as…track your food and exercise, do a 20 minute workout, get out for a walk, post a motivational quote to your team, and more. WE DO NOT expect you to workout until you puke and certainly do not recommend doing that. We want you to reach your goals and have fun doing it with us. Some teams have members who have lost weight and reached their goals and are now on maintenance.
There is no judgement here! You will lose weight at your own pace and just remember…you get out of it what you put into it. The BLC weeks run Wednesday to Tuesday. Wednesday is weigh-in day and we expect you to check in with your team at least 3 days each week. Some people check in every day. It's all up to you.
