    8/30 - 170.6

    8/31 - DNW

    9/01 - DNW

    9/02 - 171.6

    9/03 - 167.8

9/04 - 167.9 - I'll take it. I stuck to my macro/calorie goals and my water goals. I got my steps in (8,000) and so far today am on track for much of the same. I'm slightly behind on steps but my work day ends shortly so I'm going to knock out my PE study and then get outside to my garden to get fresh air, sunlight, and steps before dinner.

    8/31: 148.8; food logged

9/1: 149.8; food logged; My weight is heading in the wrong direction!🤪 At least I'm aware of it. I'm going to try to get some extra exercise this week.

9/2: 148.8; food logged - Posting here and logging daily are definitely helping. I'm much more aware of my eating habits throughout the day.👍️

    9/3: 147.2 I forgot to post on the 3rd.

9/4: 145.8; My weight is down, but I've been kind of sloppy with my tracking. I've had more exercise than usual this week and upped my water intake.

    Round 307

    August 29-September 7 2025

    SW Rnd 307

8/29 203 - TGIF - I plan to do my exercise late after dinner.  Its hotter today.  I am so sore from the strength training I did this week.  I am also so tired.  Friday is my favorite day of the week.

8/30 202.4 - I am headed out for a walk and get my exercise.  Happy weekend everyone! My daughter comes home this evening from college and tomorrow we are going to Darlington SC for the Nascar race with a bunch of friends.  Its not really my thing but my hubby loves it.  So I go each year for him.

8/31 202.8 - Great at the Nascar races. Lots of steps and stairs. Not the best diet though.  So fun!

9/1 203.4 - Yikes the food and cider from the race has caught up to my weigh in today.  Honestly today was not much better with the holiday and having people here.  Tomorrow my daughter leave back to college and I can get back on track.  I do have surgery on my knee on Thursday so who knows what I will be able to do for a few days.

9/2 203.8 - Today I was able to get back to my schedule of eating and exercise.  Stayed under calories, got my walk in and some strength training.

9/3 203 - Beautiful day today!! Had a wonderful walk with my dog.  Came back and tried something different, Tai Chi. It was relaxing but needed a little more so did some more cardio and strength from a tape.  Having a little knee surgery tomorrow so hoping this does not mess with my motivation too much.

9/4 203.4 - Well I had my knee cyst removed.  Not as bad as I thought it would be but I could not walk today the dr said.  He said I can shower tomorrow and walk.  No squats or exercises like that until the stitches are out in 2 weeks.  🤨

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 307 (my 237th).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
    • an additional goal for me (again) this round is to have a totally 10-day binge free round.

Sooooh, 9 days we fly out for our annual holiday; in that time, I should be able to lose 2 pounds, so that is my personal challenge, I want to be in the 140's by then. I can do it if I use my will power.

I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose 2 pounds. Good luck for success everyone.

    image-800e36fcc88ad8-bea8.png

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

    8/28 142.6 (trend 142.4) 7.99 miles walked. Didn’t meet the goal of 139.2, let’s just keep going!

EW Rnd 306 142.6 (yesterday's end of round number)

8/29 DNW - away for the week in the caravan in the Derbyshire Dales, aim to "behave myself!!" 6.44 miles walked yesterday after we arrived.

8/30 DNW - 11.62 miles through Matlock to Matlock Bath, food all good.

8/31DNW-13.61 miles walked to Bakewell and back across footpaths.

9/1 DNW - had a lovely day with DD, DS & their families, celebrating DH's retirement, kept restrained at the bbq. Managed a cheeky 4 mile walk beforehand. This is my umpteenth attempt at posting!! Exasperated!!

9/2 DNW-childminding little granddaughters, no structured walking.

9/3 DNW – childminded little DGD’s again, managed to walk 5.66 miles taking older DGD to & from school. I’ve almost given up posting today after numerous attempts – MFP refused to let me copy & paste just my previous days post, it kept taking the whole of the pages posts with it!! Anyone else have this problem?

9/4 141.4 – happy with number, need to keep this up. No structured walking yesterday, childminding little DGDs, couldn’t even walk to school to take & fetch older DGD due to heavy rain ☹. Travelled back home, easier to post this morning now I am back home & can use my laptop.

9/5 140.6 – well happy with that ! Donated blood yesterday so did have a couple of sweet treats (it’s the law 😊 lol!), which made my calories over by 186 & carbs by 88 ☹. Managed a 6.34 mile walk after the rain stopped & just before it got dark.Have to catch upon posts later

    Round 306 End Weight 175.4

    8/29 176.2
    8/30 176.0
    8/31 176.0

    9/02 175.4
    9/03 173.2
    9/04 174.6

9/05 174.8 Surprising but not upsetting. I’m up early for Friday bootcamp followed by a driveway workout with my ride or dies. Meeting up with DD for an early dinner this evening. Planning on being loose with my calories but the restaurant we chose has lots of healthy options. She and I overruled DH who wanted an Italian steakhouse that is heavy on the pasta and cheese.

Ending on a Sunday is going to hard for me but I am going to give it my all to make this round a success.

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 307
    August 29 – Sept 7, 2025

63 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss of 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126

    SW: 126.2

8/29 – 127.4 solidly confused. Yesterday’s scale fight made no sense, and it returned again this morning. Not fighting with it. Will continue as is and see what the number is when I can next weigh on my home scale (same brand, same model and they always align) next Wednesday. Yesterday was slightly over target, but again in maintenance range. So a notable gain is not in the cards. There was a lot of salt yesterday, including fully tracked restaurant dining in the evening. Dining out again today. The ride continues…..

8/30 – 126.6 confused in a different way. Last night was another night out and I actually ordered an entrée (was fabulous!). I expected a possible up, not a drop. Next few days are normal life, so hopefully I will figure out where I am at.

9/31 – 125.8 I have forgiven my Maine scale for making me crazy. Last saw this number briefly Feb, 2024. Going to get some activity today. Still TBD, but will be something!

9/1 – 126.2 Made it to Planet Fitness yesterday, but I just did treadmill for an hour. Not exciting or great, but I did something. Believe it or not, my muscles are not fully pleased today. Kind of sad that just walking would do that. Calories were very good. Under target number AND did not eat back any exercise.

    9/2 – 126.2 Slightly over but controlled.

9/3 – 125.6 Pleased this morning. Lately, I have been doing an evening check (not something I normally do, but am in the home stretch) and the scale implied that I was going to be up a pound today. Boy was I frustrated, as my calories had been spot on for the day. Well, so much for the night time predictions. The news was good. If I can just hang tight for another 11 days.

9/4 – 126.0 Good day, though I misread some packaging and went over by ¾ of an oreo. :P was under before I ate three. Package has been open for over a week (made oreo ice cream with the DGSs) so I am happy. I likely would have kept avoiding, but DH went by with 5 in his hand. I read the package and in the bad lighting thought it said 3 for 120, not 3 for 160. Realized my error when I tried to track, and there was no such thing as three for 120. Oh, well. No binge, and there are still more uneaten on the counter. That is a win.

9/5 – 125.4 Excellent. Again that teeniest bit over (by three pretzel braids). Counter is now cleaner. Oreos are gone, and dregs of pretzels in the bag (from DH’s Sunday fishing trip) are gone. Yesterday, got my flu shot and picked up my dress from the seamstress. Last night, I finished making some little favors for the rehearsal dinner, and the picture frames with table assignments. Today, mom gets her “fancy bed”. I am avoiding the term hospital bed. She is highly kyphotic, barely mobile and level 5 dementia. Her aids have been telling me they need a better bed. Am excited. Hope it is all it cuts out to be. Doing private pay, as the bed is nicer than what insurance would do. I hope it improves her quality of life.

    Male: 68
    6’-2”
    OSW: 237.8 (Nov. 2016.) I was actually at 250 in 2011 or so…
OGW: 199 (just to say I did)
    Maintenance Range Goal: 200-205

Daily Goals (4) for this round:
    -✏️ Log Food.
-☣️ No Ultra Processed Food (UPF).
-🎯 Meet CI/CO target, net 1500. (revision: CO reduced by UPF CI)
-💓 Exercise minimum 20 minutes. More if possible.

    Round 307 Posts
    This is my posting format….
Month/Day: Scale Reading first thing today before getting dressed. / Goals met ✏️☣️🎯💓/ Comment

    8/28/25 : 220.0 SW the day before.

    8/29: 222.2
    ✏️
Yesterday was a day of reckless abandonment. I lived my life like someone else was in charge of my physical wellbeing. I logged it all and it reads like an episode of “Dateline.” I can hear the grey haired Keith Morrison saying, “he SAID he was interested in taking care of his body,…. but what really happened on that beautiful afternoon on August 28th of 2025?”
Whenever DW and I have a friendly argument, one of us might say “You better call Dateline.”

    8/30: 221.0
    ✏️☣️🎯💓
Mediocre day. Met all my goals with flying shades of grey, rather than “with flying colors” My exercise class met for the monthly lunch at the Pizza Ranch, where we undo all we have done. I managed my food for the rest of the day to meet goals.

    8/31: 221.8
    ✏️🎯💓
Did not meet my UPF yesterday. I had a hotdog bun, some crackers and a Fannie May butter cream candy. Also, some adult beverages. For the indiscretions above, my food log holds the following:

I did hit the net cal target, but I need to find a way to eliminate allowing CO to zero out UPF style CI.

Today is an eating day with friends and relatives. DW is making peach pie. It will be tough to find exercise time.

    9/1: 223.0
    ✏️

My only goal-met yesterday was logging (✏️). I also technically met the target (🎯) under my former rules, which include eating back some exercise calories. I am amending my rules to say that UPF (☣️) Calories-In are deducted from exercise (💓) Calories-Out.

BOOM! Actions have consequences! Truth! The message I am sending myself is that there is no exercise-based recovery from Ultra-Processed-Food.

It is now September! Trip coming up mid-month after my High School 50 year reunion. Two things to inspire me right now.

    9/2: 223.0
    ✏️☣️🎯💓
I was a bit surprised by no movement with scale. Such a beautiful day yesterday. I rode 24 miles on the bike. BLT’s for lunch and chicken on the grill for supper.

In unrelated news, our 15 year old CavaPoo (Poppy) is showing signs she is ready for the proverbial Rainbow Bridge. Difficulty breathing and occasional loss of rear legs control. Yet, there are moments of puppy energy. I wouldn’t be surprised if some morning soon she is gone when I get up. We won’t let her suffer.

In further off-topic news, today is the first day of CBS (Community Bible Study.) I love my local class of this worldwide program. This year it is about the book of Psalms. This is not a paid advertisement. HA!

    9/3: 221.6
    ✏️☣️🎯💓
I am glad for the loss. Doing some churning here. My 10-day average has been damaged by the past two days. I am trying to learn my lesson.

Poppy had one of her puppy days yesterday, so who knows? I sure don’t. Thank you all for your kind words.

I ordered a backpack to be used as my “personal item” on the plane and it came yesterday. It was soooo small. Does anyone remember the unveiling of the Stonehenge stage prop in the movie “This is Spinal Tap?” Similar.

    9/4: 220.8
    💓
Yesterday was chaos. Nothing regular about eating. My mind was not on tracking, but I know I blew the UPF goal.

    9/5: 220.0
    ✏️☣️🎯💓
Goals barely met. Today will be hard as well. This evening is another monthly “alumni” meeting of former employees of the same company. My turn to host so I chose a BBQ place. Hop Juice may be involved.

5'3, 36 yo, SAHM to 3 year old twins with disabilities. Life is hard right now, but I'm doing what I can to take care of myself as well as everyone else.

    Mini goal: 140
    Ultimate goal: 130

    Rnd 301 Ending Weight: 144.2
    Rnd 302 Ending Weight: 145.3
    Rnd 303 Ending Weight: 143.3
    Rnd 304 Ending Weight: 144.3
    Rnd 305 Ending Weight: 141.0
    Rnd 306 Ending Weight: 141.1

8/29: 142.3. Not sure why the upswing today, other than just the normal fluctuations. Eating was decent, ran just 3 miles on the treadmill.

8/30: 144.4. I'm not surprised at the jump. I did some carb loading yesterday to prepare for a long run I'm going to do this morning. I'm going to attempt a 12 mile run again.

Yesterday was a rest day from running, and I also didn't have time for my morning walk. My steps were only about 4,000 by evening, so I walked on the treadmill to get 10,000.

8/31: 143.6. I'm happy to say I completed 12 miles running on the treadmill yesterday. It was a pretty good run, completely opposite of when I attempted it last week. Focusing on proper fueling has made a world of difference! I'm still trying to find a balance so I can also drop a few pounds. I'm just going to do what I can, and appreciate my body for being able to do these long runs.

I went grocery shopping yesterday and stocked up on healthy food. Today I'm going to do a bunch of cooking for the week. I'm planning on a good week.

9/1: 143.6. Up early this morning due to some sick kids. I hope it passes quickly. I got a lot done yesterday, including a bunch of meal prep. The fridge is full of healthy options now. I also did an easy 3 mile recovery run on the treadmill. However, I ended the day with a few beers, so not a perfect day.

9/2: 144.3. Well, this is the wrong direction. I need to work on snacking, as I've had way too many crackers and such while feeding my kids lately. It has got a little out of control. I don't need crackers every time they eat!

It was rest day from running, and I did a short walk.

9/3: 143.9. Snacking was better yesterday, but still more than I need. I'll continue to work on that. Today, my goal is no crackers! I know it seems silly, but it really has gotten out of control.

    I did a 3.5 mile walk and a 5 mile treadmill run

9/4: 142.7. I feel good to be back at this weight. I wish I was making more real progress instead of bouncing around, but at least I'm not gaining. Yesterday was a good day. I tracked my food in the first time in a while and was under target. Snacking was a lot better. No walk because of time and weather constraints, but did another 5 mile run on the treadmill. Happy Thursday everyone!

9/5: 143.5. Honestly, I'm feeling a bit discouraged this morning. Not so much with today's number, but the general lack of movement on the scale. I've been stuck in the 141-144 range FOREVER. I'm really not sure what more I can do. Oh well. Even if I'm not losing weight, I know I'm making better choices and getting healthier. That's what really matters.

Tracked food, under goal. 2.5 mile outdoor walk and 4 mile treadmill run.

Tired, bloated, constipated, cortisol, lactic acid. Checking journals and nothing is off except sleep and anxiety (hospital project) Am I  “doing” too much? Will focus on hydration & REST today.

8/31 134.0 🚶‍♀️💗Z2 👣 14k🏋️‍♀️📖. woke up at 1:30 AM and fell back to sleep around 4:30 up @ 6am . Going against my usual DNW when sleep sucks but I wanted to see how bad it was. My systems are all screwed up. I had a perfect fuel day till @ 7PM - enjoyed Oikos high protein plain yogurt with a few blueberries & raspberries berries and a date. It was so good! Went over calories by 383 into “maintenance” territory, but of course that’s probably my “gain” territory… DH has been gone since Thursday afternoon and will return Monday night. 5 mi WV 🚶‍♀️yesterday. However, after a quick visit for baby snuggles & Tucker hugs, I worked on the hospital project the rest of the day preparing for the 9/9 meeting. I also watched the U.S. 🎾Open most of the day while writing… &🏋️‍♀️(I had ample opportunity).  Today, I’m ready for food as fuel and 🏆🚶‍♀️💗🏋️‍♀️⏱️📖💪🏻! Closed all rings (only missing 6/31 days in August).

Proud of that 80% success rate!

BUT- if I get really tired today, (Im in ZOMBIE🧟 land - could make ZOMBIE 🧟‍♂️ decisions when sleep deprived.) Reviewing August: seems as though I go pedal to the metal for 4 to 6 days & then a “do nothing” re-charge day…Let’s see if I can incorporate some self-discipline and make good choices running on empty.  🤗#HSF #MindBodySoul

9/1 133.0 🏆🤸🏼🚶‍♀️💗👣📖 That scale is something else! No nap. Organized and watched 🎾 and a little bit of🏋️‍♀️. 3mi walk. 1:1 Pg:Eg , will do the same today with more 🏋️‍♀️. Planning to cook a little this evening-a favorite chicken dish. Hubby gets home late tonight. 💪🏻#HSF

September is a great month for me- looking forward to health & REWARDS.

Took it really REALLY easy yesterday. Lazy 2x 20 min walks. Way under steps. Rainy day. Perfect piddle day. Another baby hugs morning. Eleanor is 11wks now and is interacting, smiling mimicking cooing and oh those little arms fingers toes and cheekers!  Ready for an awesome week! 🎾🏋️‍♀️🚶‍♀️💗⏱️#HSF #MindBodySoul #ENGAGED #FoodAsFuel

NSV: Enjoyed my piddle day & stayed present & grateful. Was in a positive mood - finished my writing project. Onward!

    9/3 132.4 🏆🎾🤸🏼🚶‍♀️👣💗📖         🚫🏋️‍♀️⏱️

    Beautiful day yesterday. #MindBodySoul

Today is more tennis – the fall league starts so I will be playing regularly. Also a zoom meeting for hospital project this afternoon. Hoping to 🏋️‍♀️today - been slacking the past few days. I have good momentum w/ success in the kitchen -a macros & calorie “Victor”. I am conscious of my goal to get to 131.x by the end of this round.

    9/4 132.4🏆🎾🤸🏼👣📖🏋️‍♀️

Strong day. Super positive yesterday but slept poorly last night. I woke up somewhat deflated & down today - I haven’t put my finger on it… perhaps it was because I met a huge goal yesterday with the Hospital project and now it’s done and just waiting for the meeting  Tuesday. A producer doesn’t know what to do with themselves when there’s nothing to produce! WV walk this morning & planning to visit Eleanor and replenish my soul. #HSF

9/5 DNW The *hit has hit the fan with the hospital project. I promise I will eat healthy. But my brain is occupied and in a crazy obsessive mode. I am working to deploy good habits to keep moving, but I’m definitely in the ole “FINALS” mode headed to the meeting. Our PR campaign has worked and social media has exploded the issue all over town… Going on my walk this morning is a HUGE effort.💪🏻 this is when discipline needs to kick in… Because the motivation is not there. Praying for peace & wisdom. I hope everyone has a successful weekend!

NSV: I am 100% aware of my “trigger“ and this will be an interesting time of learning how to pay attention to my thought patterns. This is what I’ve been working on for two years - it’s game day! (Good choices in tough times!)

@quiltingjaine -Glad DH finally got the chest X-ray. I’ve been through this with my 87 y.o. dad who recently had Covid and was not getting better and soon could not get out of his chair to go to the dr. Finally, he got to the dr., got a chest x-ray and had pneumonia. I made him promise me he would go to the dr. if he was not getting better.

@Zaxa2021 Just adding to the conversation. You are doing amazingly, even if it does not feel that way to you. I personally found that the years raising kids were particularly hard to take care of "me", so IMO you are ahead of the game. From my own history, I joined WW "for the last time" a month before turning 40. I was at 168.8 and 5'5". I got DOWN to 140. My best numbers now, since having kids have been as a menopausal empty nester.

PS I also found that with kids were in the house, that necessitated having foods in the house that they may want, and became fair game for me. Now if it comes in the house, both good or bad, it is 100% due to shopping for myself and DH.

    Rnd 304 | SW: 188.6 | EW: 185.1 (-3.6)

    Rnd 306 | SW: 183.1 | EWG: 180.6 (-2.5)

    Rnd 307 | SW: 182.1 | EWG: 178.6 🎯

8/29: 182.1 🥺I’m +2.1 from the end of Rnd 306, and I knew that was going to happen after having lunch at our local Asian restaurant. I ordered Lettuce Wraps because I thought they would be light. 🤣Of course, I also got to have Crab Rangoon, bc this restaurant actually has the GF. Then we came home and I had nothing to make for dinner with the wedding weekend beginning today. So I ate my lunch leftovers for dinner. Double whammy!

8/30: 183.1 182.1 🤨I expected this and almost didn’t weigh. However, I’m glad I did so that I keep this in mind at the wedding today. Last night was food that we normally don’t eat: BBQ brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, cheesy potatoes…ugh! (No bun since they didn’t have GF.) When I started entering the food in MFP on the way home, I understood why we always eat chicken or fish! I mean, 190 cal for a thin slice of brisket!!! 😳I only had one drink, so that’s cool. In the past, I would have had 2-3 total. Also, not much water since a bathroom was not always handy. After the wedding today, I think we’ll need a week of salads to recover from this. 😭

8/31: 182.4 😊Not bad after two days of wedding stuff. I also corrected my weight from yesterday. That was the biggest surprise of all. Anyway, the wedding is OVER!🎉Worrying about what dress, what hairstyle, and whatever else was plaguing my insecurities. It’s over! I’m happy and I feel good about how everything turned out. I chose the dress that won by a landslide from everyone’s votes from here and the few other people I entrusted with my photos. So thank you all for your input. I’m posting the finished product of me with DH. He was too nervous to even think about taking a pic of just me. 🤣

9/1: 182.3 🤨Calories were right on the line, but I also had a drink when we went out. I’m sure I’m retaining water and stuff from the wedding weekend. I’m not panicking…yet. I really have some steady goals, so I hope we get this worked out.

9/2: 181.6 🙂This is better. Not sure if I’ll make my goal by the end of this round, but I’m going to try. Last night, I tried not eating after 8pm. That was hard! Went for a walk this morning to get some exercise that has not been happening. 1.5mi Maybe if I get motivated, I’ll do it again this evening. Nothing exciting about food. I just made IP Chicken Tacos. The nice thing is, those are now on hand for a while. I also found some GF Almond Flour Tortillas that were pretty good. They still fall apart easily, but they didn’t taste gummy. Yay!

9/3: 181.3 😊Down -0.3. Not exciting, but I’m thinking, “If I did that every day???” Today is book club and out to eat for dinner with a friend. I hope I hold it together. Not sure if any exercise will happen. On the plus side, I ended up with over 6K steps. I know this is baby steps compared to most of you, but it was a NSV for me!🙌

9/4: 181.2 😏Down -0.1. Not exciting, but I guess it’s not 📈Book club last night was good. I only had a matcha latte with one of my usual protein bars. I didn’t go out to eat since my friend had an emergency. Today is lunch with the fam. Trying a new place. Nothing else planned.

9/5: 181.0 😊Down -0.2 I’m getting anxious to get into the 170s. Yesterday, we had lunch at a place that had GF choices; however, I think there was cross contamination since I had lots of painful bloating last night.🤰With celiac, it’s a guessing game. I’m always trying to figure out what is causing it. I do know that I chose corn tortilla for my taco (so yummy, by the way), but it was heated on the same surface they heat the flour tortillas. I knew this and risked it. Ugh! Not sure what today holds. My DS is having lots of issues and reached out to me last night, so I think it might be a tough day emotionally for me.💔

    09/03-185.2 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.9)

09/04-188.0 ❌ (Trend Weight: 185.2) I don’t need to know how travel/sitting and restaurants affect me. I already know from years of experience and documenting. So, I almost didn’t weigh today knowing that it wouldn’t be good but this time curiosity got the best of me. I’ve got a stretch of a couple of days before I travel for an overnight medical trip Monday/Tuesday next week. I hope to make the most of it, even with my DD and DGS arriving today, food-filled totes and all. I’m pre-logging today as soon as I’m done posting. I’m a whole pound above my #7 which is my comfort zone. I won’t be having it!

🐝🐝🐝🐝 09/05-183.8 ✅ (Trend Weight: 185.1) A dramatic drop after taking my water pill finally. I think this is probably pretty accurately where I am at. My lowest weight this week was on the 31st at 181.8 . Apparently it was a one day fluke . I feel like I’m chasing an illusion, a dream, but it was so close to the 170’s that I could almost taste it! . So I am 2 lbs up from that number. However, I am still down nearly 2 lbs since the start of this round. Since 181.8 I’ve survived the holiday BBQ and also my separate day of travel. I can deal with that I suppose. I’m just dreading the two day trip next week. This is the annual trip I usually go hog wild on. And two days of sitting and driving with lack of movement doesn’t help. It’s a huge college town upscale city. The restaurant choices are Amazing to a small town girl like me. I need to start getting a grip RIGHT NOW.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I’m Amanda, 5’2”, 40F, in Appalachian Virginia (US)

    NSG (tracked for prior day)

    🏃🏻‍♀️ movement - 7/10 days
    🚫 no alcohol - 7/10 days

    SW Rnd 307- 130.8
    RGW: 129.2

    8/29 - 130.8 🏃🏻‍♀️
    8/30 - 130.4 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    8/31 - 132.2 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    9/1 - 132.0 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    9/2 - 130.8
    9/3 - 130.0 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    9/4 - 128.6 🏃🏻‍♀️
    9/5 - 128.6 🚫

8/29 - 130.8 🏃🏻‍♀️ After my spiel about alcohol yesterday I drank probably half a bottle of wine last night with dinner (troublesome when I use it in a recipe and cook with wine in 2 ways) and I couldn’t sleep until 2am. This morning I subbed as a paraprofessional for a nonverbal autistic 3 year old (I am not trained to do this AT ALL) and I am just completely wiped. Going to try to do my assigned run this afternoon but also not going to stress about it. Very glad tomorrow is a rest day. I think we’re going hiking but at least that’s easy at our family pace.

8/30 - 130.4 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 I made amazing homemade pizzas last night! Certainly not diet food but my family absolutely raved. My 6yo said it was the best food he’d had in his life. I squeezed a treadmill run in yesterday afternoon while the 4yo had a friend over. Slightly interrupted by rattling and whining but better than nothing. I had a good NSV last night: we had friends over that DH and I consider our drinking buddies and I fully abstained from drinking. I had a hop water, an NA beer, and a seltzer instead while we chatted by the fire. Zero fun lost and zero sleep lost!

8/31 - 132.2 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 Two restaurant meals yesterday on our family adventure. We had so much fun in a WV state park. We did a 3-mile hike around a lake. 4yo was whiny but the 6yo loved it! Today I have to do a super hard interval run and I’ll probably walk the dogs and do chores. My kids want a true “stay-home day” so it will be quiet. Happy Sunday!

9/1 - 132.0🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 Not happy with this number but mostly I’m grumpy that I seem to have injured my hip. Googling makes me suspect bursitis. I read the risk factors for bursitis from over-use: middle-aged, female, perimenopause, and overpronation. The only one of those I can fix is overpronation with new shoes. My shoes are nearly a year old and running shoe cushions don’t work great for more than 6 months. I also may try to mix up my cardio more. I was casually training for a half marathon next month just for something to work toward but I’d never registered for it. I think I’ll just do a better mix of things. Peloton offers a suggested workout each day of the week so my plan is to follow those for a while. After some rest.

9/2 - 130.8. Didn’t move and did drink yesterday. DH decided he wanted to do hot dogs and deviled eggs yesterday so we invited our neighbors over for dinner and a fire. I stuck with light beer which I handled a lot better than the wine last week! Today I’m planning to walk the dogs and maybe do a little yoga for active recovery. We biked with the kids to a playground yesterday and I found that my hip feels fine while biking, so that’s good! It will be nice to have something to redirect my cardio attention to.

9/3 - 130.0 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 Okay yesterday I only ended up walking the dogs for exercise but I’m counting it. Today I did yoga and a 20 minute Peloton ride. Whew it feels hard after a while away!

Today is DH’s and my 9th wedding anniversary! We’re planning to go out to a concert with my mom coming to babysit. It will be nice to have a night out but obviously need to be mindful of what I consume, especially since I substitute teach at 7:30am tomorrow. Plus I really want to meet my goal this round since I’m going to the beach next week.

9/4 - 128.6 🏃🏻‍♀️ Love to see this number but I know it’s just dehydration from drinking last night. That’s okay, hopefully I’ll see it for real soon enough! We had fun at the concert! I resisted a fried chicken sandwich in favor of a salad and sharing an order of chicken wings. Probably not much better but it felt a bit healthier that way. My drinks messed up my sleep (in cahoots with my 4 year old). Between that and substituting and parenting all day, I don’t think I’m going to have any exercise today. Maybe I can talk the kids into a stroll down the street after dinner to try to get some steps anyway.

9/5 - 128.6 🚫 Pleasantly surprised to be as low as I was yesterday. Maybe some cycle-related bloating has passed. My IUD makes my periods usually non-existent so I never know exactly when my cycle ends/begins. I substituted in a kindergarten classroom this morning and feel stuck in a stupor after that experience 😳 I don’t know how teachers do it!

Hoping to fix something on my regular bike then go on a ride with my 4yo. Then I’m taking the kids around town for evening activities on my e-bike for some modest activity. The first home football game of the season is tomorrow so downtown is sure to be crazy this evening. Will be easier to park a bike than a car!

9/5: 146; food logged; I haven't been meeting my sleep goal - too much left to do at the end of the day!

9/5 202.4 - Today I got to take some walks and do some yoga that I tried not to bend knew too much.  It was a lot hotter today.

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 307 (my 237th).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
    • an additional goal for me (again) this round is to have a totally 10-day binge free round.

Soooh, in 9 days we fly out for our annual holiday; in that time I should be able to lose 2 pounds, so that is my personal challenge, I want to be in the late 140's by then. I can do it if I use my will power.

I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose 2 pounds. Good luck for success everyone.

    image.png

Managed a 6.34 mile walk after the rain stopped & just before it got dark.

9/6 141 - Travelled to our nearest AONB – Cannock Chase & did an 11 mile walk.

@Chapter_3 and @SModa61 Thank you both so much for your kind words and encouragement.

9/6: 144.2. I had pasta last night to carb load for a big run this morning. That, of course, always means some extra water weight. I'm going to attempt another 12 mile run.

This afternoon, we are celebrating my boys' fourth birthday (actual birthday is not until the 15th). I'll try to make good choices, but I'm going to enjoy the day with my family and friends, and celebrate my kids.

I took a rest day from running to prepare for today's run, but did walk 3 miles on the treadmill to earn Garmin's weekend walking badge. Also did a shorter outdoor walk.

    9/6: 221.8
    ✏️☣️
Would you guys believe me if I said I am in the intentional “bulking up” phase of my body building journey. No? I didn’t think so.

I had a whopping 58 g of protein yesterday. Pitiful.

As always I don’t have enough time for thoughtful individual comments but this little corner of the internet is the best. The sharing, the sense of humor and the support- it’s just awesome!

I’m so proud of each and every one of us.

I’m Amanda, 5’2”, 40F, in Appalachian Virginia (US)

    NSG (tracked for prior day):

    🏃🏻‍♀️ movement - 7/10 days
    🚫 no alcohol - 7/10 days

    SW Rnd 307- 130.8
    RGW: 129.2

    8/29 - 130.8 🏃🏻‍♀️
    8/30 - 130.4 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    8/31 - 132.2 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    9/1 - 132.0 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    9/2 - 130.8
    9/3 - 130.0 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫
    9/4 - 128.6 🏃🏻‍♀️
    9/5 - 128.6 🚫
    9/6 - 129.2 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫

9/6 - 129.2 🏃🏻‍♀️🚫 Hoping this bump is due to pizza I had for dinner. I have a full-fledged cold now. Sleep has been garbage a few nights running. Unfortunately DH also has it so we will be struggling this weekend.
