Refeeding and then Reduce Calories only to Gain Weight

Has anyone, after a refeeding period, stuggled with gaining weight when you try and lower kcals under maintainance kcals?
I've been refeeding for about 3 months. I went from a daily kcal of 600 - 800 per day to 2800 to 3200 per day. After finding the weekly average of maintaining at 2350 k cals per day, I have been trying to scale down by 20% and I keep gaining weight. It makes no sense unless, I need more refeeding time. I've been hitting between 1700 - 1800 kcals a day and so far this week I have gained 5.2 lbs, today I dropped .1 lbs (so thats something) at least I didn't gain. LOL. Anyhow, has anyone had this issue?

The fact that you were under-eating by so much and know the term "refeeding" leads me to think you have a medical team, so maybe ask them.
You haven't really given us much information… like how long you were at 2350, how long you've been trying to lower your calories, how long you've been firmly at 1700-1800, how you are calculating that number and why, what kind of physical activity you do on a regular basis…weight, height, gender, travel, sleep, hydration etc…all of it plays in.
I'd say stick at one calorie goal for six weeks. Like maybe 1800. See what happens. The human body doesn't turn on a dime when it's been underfed, then overfed, so be patient.

check the TDEE calculator for your caloric requirements and macro suggestions. 600-800 calories a day??? WTH. You were starving yourself.
I’m at maint and during my losing stage, my calorie range was 1359-1700 depending on the day. I focused on getting 130-150 grams of protein daily. (Goal weight)
during maintenance, my calories range from 1650-2100 daily. Same protein goal.I’ve maintained for several months now.
