Macro combo ideas

Hi there! I’m looking for fun meal or snack ideas that combine clean fats and carbohydrates. Also, if you have any other creative macro mix suggestions, I’d love to hear them too! Thank you.

Not sure what you mean by "clean fats"? Some people think that means beef tallow and butter, other people think it means seeds and nuts and olive oil, yet others are going for fatty cold-water fish for the Omega-3s. Ditto for "clean carbs", I guess, but I'll take a stab there and assume that you mean things like veggies, fruits, and whole grains?

Maybe a chart like this would help you, dunno:

That's from https://www.workingagainstgravity.com/articles/17-macro-tracking-tips , a site I know nothing about as an information source in general, but that had a good example of this type of chart. You can find similar ones all over the internet.

I'd maybe go with peanut butter on an apple, or peanut butter or similar stuffed in a date. Boiled or roasted potatoes with a seasoned olive oil vinaigrette, maybe. Sweet potato with coconut or nuts mixed in?

Honestly, often I'd go with dark chocolate. I don't know whether that counts as clean, but it has some nice micronutrients, antioxidants, and more good things. I get chocolates made with coconut oil from a local producer, that are organic, free of most common allergens. I don't really care much about the coconut oil, organic-ness or hypo-allergenics as much as I do about the fact that these are the best - or maybe second-best? - chocolates I've ever eaten. There are carbs and healthy fats in there for sure.

On a similar line, I made a dessert for a potluck that involved splitting dates and lining a pan with them, spreading peanut butter on them, topping with a layer of melted dark chocolate, putting them in the fridge to solidify, then cutting into bars. Delicious, high in carbs and fats . . . also calorie dense, but it was for a potluck at the rowing club for this year's learn-to-row class graduation, so maybe we earned those calories. 🤷‍♀️ Or maybe I'm just a bad influence.

P.S. I'm also in year 9+ of weight maintenance after losing from class 1 obese with MFP, now with very good health markers, following around 30 pre-loss years of overweight/obesity, so maybe a little relaxed about details at this point. Calorie-manageable treats just for joy are fine, within reason now and then, IMO.
