    09/18-187.8 ❌ (Trend Weight – 185.0) I’m up almost 4 pounds overnight. No TMI x 3, no diuretic for several days due to busy schedule, out to dinner yesterday with son after the salon appointments, mini binge last night after getting the taste of sugar in my mouth. Yeah, all the things. I’m always amazed at how big the overnight number can be, just from the fluid backup alone. No time again today for my medication, too many places to go on Thursdays. I’ll try tomorrow but honestly, it may have to wait until Saturday. At least I’m getting my workouts in at night.

    🐝🐝🐝🐝09/19-185.0 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 185.0) With stomach still hurting I did a liquid diet yesterday eating similarly to what I did one day earlier in the week, trying to give my intestines a rest. This caused the overnight whoosh but there are still several extra pounds here that need to be contended with and my diuretic will likely help. My weight today is a very late weigh-in. I usually don’t weigh on Fridays at all due to my schedule. I have been eating more yogurt lately due to some delicious seasonal flavors I can only get once per year in the fall. I wonder if that is what is causing the stomach distress/gassiness? Pain has been spastic and intense.

    @itladyee what a cutie! Congratulations!

    @quiltingjaine certainly consider to doctor. If you have vertigo, which I have had once or twice, the medical that helps with the spin is meclizine, which is the same thing as Bonine or non-drowsy dramamine, just at a customized dose. I hope you feel better. Maybe you will wake to it gone in the morning!!!

    9/18: 180.0 😊Well, this was my goal for yesterday. 🤣Lunch out with the fam, then tap class.💃

    9/19 180.4 🤨 Not really sure why there was an increase with as much activity as I had yesterday??? In addition, I had a surplus of calories. So frustrating! But I’m not giving up. Went for a short walk this morning and practiced tap. Then went to an art fair and walked around all evening. Lots of activity again. We’ll see tomorrow.

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 309 (my 239th).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
    • an additional goal for me (again) this round is to have a totally 10-day binge free round.

    I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

    Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available.This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

    SW Rnd 309 Using weight from 9/20; first weigh in on return from holiday – 146.3

    9/17 DNW - 6.3 miles walked. Had a lovely day, hotel spoiled us last night, all sensible eating went out the window!!

    9/18 DNW - 9.3 miles walked. Caught the bus to Ibiza Town, wandered around the port, castle, cathedral & maze of old streets.

    9/19 DNW - 8.94 miles walked, did favorite walk of the holiday to the lighthouse and back along the coastal rocks & pm last lay on beach & swim in the sea.

    9/20 146.3 – that’s the holiday damage!! And a shock to be 0.3 pounds back into the overweight category !! My giddy aunt!! Here we go working to lose 1.5 pound by the end of the round. No structured walking due to flying back home.

    @itladyee - love your new little baby, does she have a name? She might accept the crate easier if she had a cuddly blanket to lie on? I am probably jumping the gun here, as I'm guessing you will have all these things ready for her at home. Is she a labrador?

    9/19: 141.6. I had a much better day yesterday. Still not perfect, but I showed some control overall. I'm happy it's Friday. My boys are spending the weekend with my mom, so I get some much needed time to relax and organize my life.

    9/20: 143.6. Not surprised, I ate extra yesterday and carb loaded to prepare for a long run I'm doing this morning. It was controlled and deliberate. Kids are away at Grandma's this weekend. I'm looking forward to having some time to relax and prepare for next week.

    9/20 173.4 I am super happy with this considering I definitely ate at a higher calorie level yesterday. I was hungry so I ate. Nothing terrible and not a binge, just hungry.

    Probably from my first morning of really intense workouts in the last two weeks. It felt good to push hard but I was tired, like barely kept my eyes open tired at 5pm.

    Kicking off the weekend with body combat this morning. I intend to have an active morning and in the afternoon walk to the river festival- eat sausage and peppers, share a fried dough with DH while slurping on a quart of Sangria. The mile walk home is all up hill.

    There will be some scale damage! Party on the boat this evening.

    I better try to get some chores done before all of these good times!!!

    Did so much better yesterday. When I focus on lower carb it’s not just about fat loss. It also really helps with my Hashimotos inflammation and joint pain. Not doing keto or anything, just keeping things very clean.

    9/18 – 127.8 I will get myself together. Excuses include “after wedding” Monday. Tues spent 4 hours trying to help acclimate new private aid for mom, who then quit and snuck off the job two hours before her end time. Wed working on aftermath, and today, back to maine to clean everything there and close it down. I distract easily. 

    We are going out to eat tonight, but I know the restaurant and menu.

    9/19 – 127.2 Just mildly better than past few days.

    9/20 – 128.0 Now that was cruel. :P I finally did a great day. First since last weekend. I will say though that over the years I have seen that “day after pasta” day often shows an up. Yes, we had pasta last night, but I tracked it thoroughly.

    09/19-185.0 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 185.0) With stomach still hurting I did a liquid diet yesterday eating similarly to what I did one day earlier in the week, trying to give my intestines a rest. This caused the overnight whoosh but there are still several extra pounds here that need to be contended with and my diuretic will likely help. My weight today is a very late weigh-in. I usually don’t weigh on Fridays at all due to my schedule. I have been eating more yogurt lately due to some delicious seasonal flavors I can only get once per year in the fall. I wonder if that is what is causing the stomach distress/gassiness? Pain has been spastic and intense.

    🐝🐝🐝🐝09/20-184.4 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.9) I’m happy to see a drop but don’t know if I believe it for two reasons. #1- my scale battery died (rechargeable) and I had to find a low to ground plug to plug it in while weighing. That put the scale in a completely different spot. #2- my dinner was downright STUPID yesterday in every possible way. I ate it 5 hours early and it was 3 McDonald’s pies (2 pumpkin crème and 1 apple). Thank you to my 98 pound size triple zero DD who left them out for me. My fault for caving, I know! I know! In her defense, I don’t think she expected me to eat all 3 at once or use them as a meal replacement! Anyway, I Starved for the rest of the day and caved at night for too many “healthy” snacks putting me way over on calories and carbs. We’ll see what the scale tomorrow brings.

    SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss of 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)

    9/18 – 127.8 I will get myself together. Excuses include “after wedding” Monday. Tues spent 4 hours trying to help acclimate new private aid for mom, who then quit and snuck off the job two hours before her end time. Wed working on aftermath, and today, back to maine to clean everything there and close it down. I distract easily. 

    We are going out to eat tonight, but I know the restaurant and menu.

    9/19 – 127.2 Just mildly better than past few days.

    9/20 – 128.0 Now that was cruel. :P I finally did a great day. First since last weekend. I will say though that over the years I have seen that “day after pasta” day often shows an up. Yes, we had pasta last night, but I tracked it thoroughly.

    9/21 – 128.6 another up without reason. Going to just let this play out. It will sort and stabilize soon and I’ll know where I am out. Looking to get back 126 or below before November.

    9/20 & 9/21 DNW. Great nutrition Friday but not so much yesterday. Two tennis matches Friday/one yesterday -all were grueling. My team missed the playoffs by one loss. We had a great time! I can certainly feel my age from a few years ago… Three tough matches in the heat took its toll. I was exhausted yesterday and ended up eating way more than I should have (PASTA-what?!?!!!). It was a decision based on exhaustion & not smart for me… Fell asleep super early last night - tossed and turned from being too full… I learned that, for me, overdoing it physically then rationalizing it by increased portions - has many more negative ramifications than simply exercising (if that makes any sense). I’m still recovering today from the heat & pushing too hard and will jump back on board here tomorrow. Hydrating today! I apologize for not keeping up with our “feed” I will catch up by tomorrow. But oh @itladyee Princess Lola is darling! We had a Lola once… Lola was our golden retriever for 13 years and my love!! Enjoy!

    9/19 180.4 🤨Not really sure why there was an increase with as much activity as I had yesterday??? In addition, I had a surplus of calories. So frustrating! But I’m not giving up. Went for a short walk this morning and practiced tap. Then went to an art fair and walked around all evening. Lots of activity again. We’ll see tomorrow.

    9/20: 181.3 😔Late night eating and drinking. Today I have a bridal shower and then another outing with friends this evening. Sadly, I’m not expecting tomorrow to be any better.

    9/21: 180.4 😊Well, this is a step in the right direction. I didn’t eat anything at the bridal shower because there was essentially nothing gluten free for me to eat. Plus, the food that was there was intermingled with crackers that I could not have. I can’t explain the hurt and feelings of betrayal considering that this was a shower for a future family member. I really didn’t think I needed to say on the invitation that I’m celiac. Whatever. I’ve decided that my future RSVPs will say that I will be happy to attend if my food safety is protected. Yes, I could take a separate meal for myself, but that is just weird. While I was standing there looking at the food wondering what on earth here is safe, the bride-to-be flippantly said to me, “Sorry, I don’t know what is gluten free here.” (pictured below) So sorry for my rant. 

    On a positive note, I went to an event full of food trucks (about 15 of them) and figured that I wouldn’t find anything I could eat…but I DID!!! I was so happy! We had a good time. Nice to end on a positive note.

    Been a very busy/crazy week. The good news, I've already shared: Princess Lola. She's a bit of a chewer! Shoes, beware!!! Last night we went for 5 hours sleep time before needing to potty! Excellent, I thought. Today, we had breakfast and she got to explore the house a bit. Vet yesterday, a couple of things to address but nothing major. She's almost 7lbs!!

    The not so good news….I received a phone call from HR late Tuesday night (non work day) that my job was being eliminated. Some "deal" occurred and the company was sold, and almost everyone got the boot. Salespeople can "apply" at the new company. As you know, I was already PT and leaning towards retirement, so while this was sort of expected (business has been horrible), I thought I'd get a warning, notice, and a little bit of severance…

    I have mixed emotions about it all. I am ready to retire… but I had imagined some kind of fanfare, not a “surprise, you’re done.” I’ll need to sit down and run the numbers again. My plan had been to work part-time through 2026, but… we’ll see. So again, mixed thoughts…

    But…lemonade…the timing could not have been more perfect. I had already planned to work part-time as I worked with baby Lola but now, I can give her 100%

    The break is over…time to get back to schedules and routines :) (for both of us)

    9/18 231.4 ~ Travel day. Didn't take any travel snacks…stopped and had lunch. Went to the nearby casino that evening and just had a sandwich.
    9/19 DNW ~ Morning at Hotel before picking up Princess Lola, then travel day. We picked up some ribs (recommended by a friend) on the way back knowing that I wasn't going to cook. They weren't very good and I was tired so I didn't eat much.

    @CamandJarvis ~ Thanks for the reminder on the heartworm medicine. I took Lola to the vet yesterday (new vet) and I kinda like that they tell you to just order on line (for the best price) vs reselling it and making a profit! They didn't even try to sell me a puppy plan!!

    @itladyee sorry to hear about your job, but maybe something better will come from the change. Regarding that aid. By thursday, they were training someone else, and this woman worked alone Friday and is back with my mother today. It does seem the other woman was not meant for this job.
