idk how this works I just wanna make friends on here cuz I’m paying for the app now and i spend like 6 hours a day on it just searching up foods and scanning stuff to see what I can have and macro and calorie tracking and all that so if anyone relates just lmk 🔥fucjing love this app

Not your fault, because MFP is still annoyingly promoting friends over on the main boards

I have several hundred, left over from the days of the old Friends Newsfeed. I’ve heard from exactly one in the past year. It’s too much trouble to PM people.

You’ll find lots more support just posting here in the boards.

The only “friends” you’re going to make are handsome fellows with stolen profile pics (in scrubs, pilot, military uniforms) hoping to grease up acquaintance enough to con you out of money I post here regularly and get friend requests often because my name is all over the boards. Out of the last 80 or so requests, only two have been legit members, and they never even messaged.

And scanning for “what you can have”? Ahhh, the early days of MFP. I remember them sooooo well. The days of gnawing on “I can have this, I can’t have that.”

You can have anything you want. In reasonable portions, within your calorie goal.

I’d much rather have a couple of ounces of really good chocolate than all the Wasa Bread or egg whites in the world. So, I eat reasonably during the day, and save up calories for something special in the evening. Usually homemade yogurt ice cream and meringues, occasionally chocolates (I make a point of not keeping them in the house, or keeping only small quantities. The old, ugly me will still rationalize eating whatever is available, so availability is limited, but never, ever, outright forbidden.)
