    Hello and Welcome!

How old is "older"? I'm 69, and an MFP old-timer.

There's a 60+ thread (men and women both, but more women) here:

No ID checking at the door of that thread, so close to 60 is fine, too. Like all long-running threads at MFP, the newest posts are at the end, on high-numbered pages. You can jump straight there with the number/arrow links near the top and bottom of each page of the thread. It's still active.

There are also threads in other areas that might suit you. Look around, see what's up. They tend to be most concentrated in the Motivation and Support or Challenges parts of the MFP Community, but there are some spread around elsewhere, too. Here are a couple of examples:

As is probably obvious, that last set of people start a new thread each month.

No matter your age, you can succeed here - people of all ages do, when they find the right personal plan. A vital part of that is sticking with it and trying different tactics until we find the personally most achievable route.

I'd encourage you to participate in all-ages threads and groups, too: People with similar goals tend to have a lot in common, regardless of age.

Best wishes for success: In my experience, the quality of life improvement is more than worth the effort it takes to accomplish it!
