Myself!
Hi everyone! My name is Ava. I have been struggling with bad eating habits and weight in general for quite awhile. I know that 145lbs. is not terrible for being 5’8, but I do wanna just get into a better eating healthy habit and lose a little weight. While I am all fat no muscle I also wanna exercise just a little bit. I don’t wanna exercise to the point I am sweaty and just so tired, I wanna exercise till I know I have energy! Good to meet you guys! Hope you guys are all doing well! -Ava

welcome to MFP, Ava.
Honey, you are smack in the middle of normal BMI.
Instead of losing weight, you need to consider focusing on building muscle.
People have this idea that if they just lose “enough”, they’ll start looking trim and toned. If you don’t have a muscular 6-pack or “guns” on your upper arms, no amount of loss is going to make them suddenly pop out.
I got all the way down to borderline underweight with that thinking, and looked sickly and spidery.
I focused on building muscle. Now I’m heavier by twenty pounds, often pushing the upper limits of “normal BMI”, but am the same size I was at the lower weight.
Do consider trying it. I don’t lift heavy. I’m too old for that now, but I like to think I weight train smarter, and I see results.
There’s loads of hot women here who do lift heavy, and everywhere in between. I think it’s safe to say, none of us look like amazons. We’re just improving what the good lord - and parental genetics- gave us.
