My Cheap Bar

Hello, anybody know how much weight my cheap, used bar should be able to handle. I think it's one from Canadian Tire. Curious? I plan on working my way up to really heavy weights so i wanna make sure i know what my bar can handle. Thx

There's a bunch of different ones on here so you could find the specs on one closest to yours? I'm psyched to be picking up a free bench and bar support second hand tomorrow, just need a bar now :) Happy lifting!

    your tire store sells weights?

and for goodness sakes, just put some weight on the bar and start lifting. it's not like it's going to snap in half or something

I'm familiar with that brand. It can do about 87 kilos. That's one on each side though. Cherokee babe is cute!

However! Don't worry about it. If the bar breaks, it will be at one of the stops toward the sides of the bar. When that happens, the other side will sling downward and you'll be safe.

The most important thing is that you wear tight-fitting clothes when you lift so that nothing gets caught in the incident.

OMG! Bars are know to explode and send shrapnel hurtling 50 yards when they bend. Be really really careful. Definitely no more than 1500 pounds on any bar at a time.

Don't listen to him! Bars are not made to break, that's absurd.

But seriously steer clear of anything over 750 kilos. It gets to the point of no return at that point.

It's not a "tire" store. It's just called Canadian "TIRE." It's more like a Home Depot type store...

It's really more like Walmart and Home Depot mated and had a *kitten* child type store.

Sort of like Fred Meyer, but smaller and more fishing gear.

I kinda like places like that. Usually full of older regulars who are there from the time they get out of work til they have to drag themselves home and face the burdens of reality. Makes me feel great about my life.

that is exactly the kinda place this would be if they were serving like, natty ice with that deal. since they do PBR it's instead just overrun with hipsters. it will probably still make you feel great about your life though!
