fat flush drink?

WONDERING - have any MFP people ever tried one of those like cucumber/citrus infused water fat flushes??????? - you know, the drink thing - the ones you make yourself at home...i am NOT planning on doing the fat flush alone....I NEED FOOD! lol....just want to help kick a few extra pounds off...

If you did try it -
1. did it work?
2. did it taste good?
3. IF it worked, how much extra pounds did it help you lose?
4. whether it worked or not, which recipe did you use? - I want to know the ones that worked and didn't work, so I can compare..

THANK YOU!

It tastes fine, it does nothing. No drink will flash out fat, sorry.

how exactly does this help flush fat out? I don't understand and need an explanation.

  • It's actually called calorie deficit

I think anything that gets me to drink more water and I count the calories is good. That being said, I do a flavored water every weekend I am home. This weekend it is lime slices and mint leaves. Other weekends it is peeled cucumber slices . I just make up a big plastic clear pitcher with lots of ice and my flavor of the day.

I KNOW THAT I NEED EXERCISE AND TO WATCH CALORIES!

So, thank you for the sarcastic remarks!

I am just looking for recipes for one. You can normally see FB friends posting ones on your page once in awhile. They are supposed to help fight fat, or stuff like that. That is why I was wondering.

Whatever they are "supposed" to do is meaningless. There's no such thing as a drink that fights fat. Calorie deficit is how you burn fat. A drink is just a drink. I suppose if you're dehydrated it can rehydrate you, otherwise it won't "do" anything.

They are supposed to help fight fat, or stuff like that.

    But they don't.

As you acknowledged, you need to consume fewer calories than you expend...that's it. That's the only super special weight loss trick you will ever need. If things like "fat flushes" worked, we'd all know about it. You wouldn't have to come here asking about it because it would be common knowledge and we'd all just be doing it.

Don't get defensive because people are telling you the truth. 'fat flush' water is hogwash.

They only "work" for people who normally drink some of their calories.

iit definitely doesn't flush any fat out of your body, but it is delicious

the only benefit it could have for you other than being delicious would be replenishing electrolytes, which would only matter to someone who sweats profusely for over an hour. gatorade and electrolyte added waters exist for this reason, but gatorade comes with as much sugar as soda and why buy electrolyte water if you can just throw a lemon in it?

as far as recipes, I usually wing it with whatever fruits I have around, and then add mint leaves

I found that lemon and lime and mint lasts for days if I don't finish it, but strawberry mint water tastes the best. strawberry mint is terrible after 24 hours though, it starts to sour.

    Nope.
  • I always put a few slices of cucumber in my water just because I hate the taste of plain water. I've done it with orange slices as well. I've never considered it a "fat flush" drink, but it does taste great!
  • Doesn't work, but a slice of cucumber in a glass of ice water is awfully refreshing on a hot day.

There is absolutely NO real science behind the idea of a "fat flush" drink. That being said, a glass of water with cucumber in it is better for you than a lot of other things you could drink.

Are these FB friends you see posting this in good shape or are they just fat and looking for gimmicks. Be honest.

Putting fruit it water makes it taste nice, but no "fat flush" drink will make you lose weight.

Instead of "fat flush" do you mean something like a cleansing drink, like colon cleanse, or something that flushes toxins? I haven't personally done any of those, but I have a girlfriend who swears by various juice fasts and colon cleanses.

I reckon $19.99 for the TOXIN BLOCKER is reasonable, no?
