Has anyone tried out some of the quest bar flavors?
I've tried the cookie dough and lemon cream pie. LOVE the cookie dough in the toaster oven for a few mins.. the lemon cream pie reminds me of a chewy, hard power bar I used to eat during long softball tournaments. I don't mind the flavor, but I'm a lemon lover and this just leaves something to be desired..
I'm interested in hearing about the vanilla almond crunch, apple pie, peanut butter supreme, or pb&j.

I need to know how you all manage to toast them without them sticking all over your toaster/oven/whatever you put them on... lol.
Chocolate chip cookie dough, white chocolate raspberry and vanilla almond are my favorites, I like the coconut cashew one too.0 -

I have a toaster oven/counter oven that I use instead of have to pre-heat my big oven and blah, blah, blah.. I usually just put a piece of foil down, then the quest bar. I probably heat them up 3-4 mins close to the top of the oven at about 375-400*. Then I use a metal spatula and scrape it off.
I've picked it up off the foil before too.. they don't really stick for me.0 -
The only ones I've tried so far are The Cookie Dough flavor & Brownie one and both were delicious. I am going to try warming up the cookie dough flavor tomorrow.
I also bought a few other flavors to try.0 -
cookie dough is insane. LOVE. The white chocolate raspberry is my new favorite. The brownie and peanut butter/chocolate are good for "protein bars"0

Cookie dough is INSANE! In fact, I just finished eating one; so good. I like the brownie as well. Saw Quest was coming out with a Double Chocolate Chunk that I am definitely going to try.
Hated Lemon Cream Pie AND Strawberry Cheesecake. Just yuck.0 -

I tried a variety pack which included all of these flavors (but not the cookie dough or lemon). The vanilla almond crunch and the PJ&J weren't my favorites--seemed kind of bland. The apple pie was amazing as was the peanut butter supreme.
My favorites are the Brownie and the Mixed Berry (which I didn't think I'd like)!0 -
All of them except the brownie flavor. They are pretty much my favorite 'on the go' meal ever.0
-
My favorites are the Coconut Cashew and Lemon!0

I love the new peanut butter cup cravings they have. As for the regular bars i enjoy the cookie dough and the brownie.0

Thanks everyone! It looks like its really just based on what you like!! I might try a few out before buying a box or anything. Its a lot cheaper (and theyre fresher) ordering directly from Quest.. but I made the mistake of buying the whole box of lemon creams and I don't love them.
I guess that could be a good thing as well, so i'm not trying to constantly eat more than one bar a day!0 -

I either use cooking spray or parchment paper before putting the quest bars in the oven
My favorite is chocolate chip cookie dough. I also love banana nut muffin and cinnamon roll too. I actually enjoy every single bar except for the peanut butter and jelly
The Quest PB Cups are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I can't wait til their new bar comes out....Double chocolate chunk I think it's called! DOUBLE YUM!!!!0 -
My favorites are the Coconut Cashew and Lemon!
this. I tried a chocolate pb one yesterday and it was pretty yucky. never getting that flavor again!0 -
I had a chocolate brownie one recently. It was awful. Just chewing it was a workout and an awful experience. Maybe I didn't try the right flavor?I just got what they had in the gym vending machine.0

My favorite is white chocolate raspberry, cocout cashew is my least favorite so far but most people like it0
-
Love cookie dough! Cinnamon roll is pretty tasty too. The peanut butter varieties were good as well. vanilla almond crunch was okay. Liked banana nut too. I nuke all mine for 10-15 seconds.0

cookie dough.
runner up: white choc raspberry0 -
I eat one of these almost every day, So I'm a bit of an expert. I'm one of the weirdos that doesn't love the cookie dough flavor. My favorite is the white chocolate raspberry, followed by banana nut bread, apple pie and cinnamon roll. When I want them warm, I actually just microwave it for 5 seconds, turn it over, and 5 more seconds. This helps keep it from sticking to the plate. I really don't care for the lemon, peanut butter supreme, or the vanilla almond crunch. Everything else is yummy.
Edit to add - chocolate brownie - yuck! How did I forget how much I hate this one???0 -
I got a box of 12 different flavors, so far this what I've tried:
-Chocolate Brownie, good
-Strawberry Cheesecake, yuck
-Apple Pie, just ok
-Chocolate PB, good- especially in the microwave
-Cinnamon Roll, good
-Coconut Cashew, my fav so far
-Banana Nut Muffin, just ok
-Mixed Berry, just ok
-Peanut Butter Supreme, good
I still have a few left. I'm happy to see the Lemon Cream Pie is good. Anyone tried the PB&J flavor?0 -
What I do is put parchment paper under the bar, and it doesn't stick at all! Also if you put a little
bit of water on the bottom of the bar and then put it on parchment paper the bar just lifts off without
sticking at all! =D0 -
I enjoy almost all of the Quest Bar flavors myself. They are a staple in our house because they fill us up and keep us satisfied for a good span.
I don't think they are ideal for people just starting a diet after having been eating the traditional sweet snacks. With my husband being diabetic, we're not big on super sweet any more so these taste sweet enough for us. If you were eating a Snickers yesterday and pick up a Chocolate Brownie Quest Bar today it's going to taste like dirt. If you didn't like them at first but stick to a diet you might want to try them again in a few months, your tastes might change in time.
It's true that they are a bit chewy. I find that helps the psychological feeling of eating more though personally. I can sit mindlessly munching on one through a TV show and I don't really think about how chewy it is and I'm pretty satisfied.0 -
Coconut cashew, Vanilla almond crunch and cookie dough are my favorites and I just ordered a box of the white chocolate raspberry and the limited release double chocolate chunk bars0
-
Oh my..............I'm a QUEST bar fanatic. I have a regular monthly rotating order.
My favorites are:
1) Coconut Cashew
2) White chocolate Raspberry
3) Chocolate Peanut butter.
I think the quest pb cups are extremely dry and not very good...didn't stop me from eating like 5 of them one day though.
I wanna try the lemon (since I love lemon) and the banana nut since they didn't come in the variety pack that I bought the first time I ordered them.
I totally believe in Quest bars...they help me stay on my diet. I am to the point where I would rather have a Quest than a candy bar or any other type of sugary treat...and I am the QUEEN of sweet and sugary snacks!!!!0 -
I just discovered these thanks to these boards. Thye are my post workout protein. LOVE cookie dough, banana nut and mixed berry. I haven't tried the PB&J because it sounds icky, but I have like most of them so far.0
-
Mixed Berry Bliss is, hands down, my favorite Quest flavor!0
