Does a person's avatar effect how you interact with them?

For the most part it doesn't. But on a site like this when people are handing out "advice" to others I think it is only natural for someone to want to see what the person handing out advice looks like.
Let's face it, no matter what anyone says their motivation for losing weight is, some part of them wants to do it to look better. So if someone says they did this or that or have lost this much fat or gained that much muscle, you kind of want to see some proof.
Losing weight is one endeavor where blindly following what a stranger on the internet says can lead to a lot of wasted time. Everyone doing this should do a lot of research on their own, but if someone is giving advice and hiding behind a picture of a cat with a stupid expression or an anime cartoon on a site like this it should send up at least one red flag. :drinker:
I think I feel a bit...safer(?) using cartoon pictures. I feel less people talk to me when they know what I look like. Don't know why. I think it's cause I'm sexy smokey bacon. Yeah, baby, yeah, baby, yeah!

Not really sure what you mean by my "flag"?????0 -
Well, I can't take someone seriously who has a 50 Shades of Grey avatar. I really can't. Unless you mean it ironically somehow, but that's tough to tell.
Otherwise, no. If a person has a sense of humor and shows intelligence, that's all that matters.
and yes I read the books so it's a like I have.0 -

Posting actual pics makes it easier to know who to flirt with.
For the record, my avatar is me. That's right. Me and my chicken. In case you're curious, someone gave me the hat to wear because it was my birthday. The next week I handed off to someone else, but the hat soon disappeared. The picture was taken by a friend of mine.0 -

I want to pet your chicken.0 -
Yes...if your avatar has no personality, I assume neither do you. It may not be the correct assumption, but that is my first impression.0

Yes, but generally more for political reasons, which thankfully really aren't an issue on here.
As far as weight or appearance, no. I'm here to lose weight and make friends who have the same goal.0 -
Yes...like your cover. Your cover happens to rock. I read all 3 books in 2 days.0

By the expression on your face. I take it you saw the junk picture I just sent you.

I can admit I like to read books of that caliber especially if it gets women riled up0 -

Although, his photo riled me up. Just not in the way I think he wants.0 -
Nope. Not at all. If they have a sense of humor and seem halfway intelligent then it's cool with me. As you can see, I am a plate of food.0
