Your weight just starts going up once your BF% reaches a certain level? That doesn't make any sense to me.0

If your body fat percentage is going down, but your weight is going up, that's usually an indication that the additional weight is muscle.0 -
I'm old school when it comes to measuring training gains. For example, if I was focused on building mass, I would simply take pics at the beginning of the cycle, weigh myself and take measurements. Ongoing I would simply do visual checks with more pics, weigh in and measurements at about half way through the cycle and then the same at the end to assess. Simple...sure, but it works for me. I'm a believer in "look good, feel good".
As far as eating/nutrition goes, on a mass cycle I would never just eat anything and everything. Without providing needed nutritional support to your body through proper diet, maximum gains will never be realized. Basically, "eat the right foods, in the right amounts and at the right times". This is just as important as proper training.

No dunk tanks/air pods available in our area, but I notice that once I hit 15% body fat & lower, my weight starts going up...so far only about 6 lbs more, but I'd say if someone's body fat continues to drop, but their weight goes up, it's safe to say it's muscle. Especially if you can see improvements in how your body looks & how your clothes fit.
LBM =/= muscle necessarily. Plus, there are quite significant margins of errors with BF assessment devices.0 -
Looks like a good bulk.... I wouldnt call it a dirty bulk though. Not at all.0
