    I am 5'6" and weigh around 187. My body fat, done with calipers by a trainer/nutritionist/bodybuilder is 21.5% I lift weights and have a very "solid" build. Trying to get to about 18%. I honestly believe that it depends on your body composition. People always guess me weighing less than I do.
    Okay, no, WHAT? That's just insane. Are you a bodybuilder?? You have a lower BF% than me and weigh 55 lbs more than me. And I'm taller than you by an inch and a half!

    I see your thighs in your pic and they are very ripped, but seriously?? How is this even possible??

    Welp, I'm just going to duck out of this topic now. Half the chicks in this thread could smack my head right off my neck with one clean punch. These women are buff as hell, LOL!

    I'm 5'9" and about 19% BF - I currently weigh 145 as of this morning.

    It's all about the muscle.

    I am 5' 7" at 26% bodyfat I weighed 145. ( Size 12/14)

    at 17% bodyfat I also weighed 145. (size 6/8)

    trying to work myself back down in BF after a major illness.

    Is the right hand side of your profile picture current? If so, I would be very hesitant to believe you were 21% bf. As a figure competitor, I can tell you that most girls are stage ready, lean, vascular and ripped at approximately 15-18% bodyfat. I'm in my off season right now (in my pic) and am at around 20% I don't mean to insult you. That is not my intent. I just hate seeing other misled by numbers like this. It is discouraging to say the least. You look amazing and your transformation is inspiring! Great work!

    Word, I'm not saying I don't believe you, and your pics look like you have low body fat... I'm just saying that's insane. You are extremely buff! I'm impressed.

    I'm 5'7.5", 132 lbs, and my BF% is about 23%. :-( That one chick who posted above, who weighs 160 and has 20% body fat, just blows my mind. But she's totally ripped so it makes sense. I would have to get down to 120 (or less) to be at 20%. I guess it's because my bones are smallish and I have basically no muscle.

    But for myself, I'm not interested in being muscular or having a women's weightlifting magazine physique... my aesthetic ideal is something like Scarlett Johannson in her prime. Trim but feminine with some thin padding. Guys seem to like that look a lot. I figured that's around 22% BF and is a sustainable shape/weight for me.

    at 5-8 that amount of remaining body fat is not going to be healthy for you. I would cap it around 22.

    My wife (in the pic) is 5' 6" and about 20%, weighing 118lbs. Since you add about 5lbs/in, that would be about 128lb for 5'8".

    Last time I measured (calipers) I was about 24% BF. I'm 5'8" and maintaining around 63/64 kg (140lb).

    ETA I'm 42. Body fat needs increase with age. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

    Basic math.
    If you are at 24.3% BF at 140, then your LBM = (1-.243) * 140 = 105.98
    If you dropped to 118 and maintained your 105.98 LBM then your BF % would be (118 - 105.98)/118 = .1018 or about 10.2%

    That is an unhealthy BF % for a woman. Women need at least 10-12% body fat. Athletes are usually in the 14% to 20% range. It is also very hard to get down into that BF range. Not sure that is an achievable or desirable goal.

    I doubt it helps any, but I am 5'10, and at 140Ibs, at my lowest bodyfat, I was 12%.
