Where are all the Christians?

When I see those threads.. I am under the impression that Catholics/Christians have trouble mixing with others....
Oh absolutely!! Amen! Oops...
Not necessarily. I am Christian and while it is nice to be around like minded people, I also have many non Christian friends and I value those friendships also. There are a lot of sterotypes about Christianity, there are wackadoodles in every group. We are not all bad. I don't judge people on their religious beliefs, I wish people would not judge me for mine. We can all live in this world together.
I couldn't agree more!!0 -
probably looking down upon us heathens
Not looking down. I actually like researching different views. My best friend is athiest and I have learned a great deal from him. We respect each others veiws and I rather enjoy our debates.0 -
They're in the groups section, as religious (and political) talk isn't really allowed in the main forums.

It's amazing how much balogny on this thread would be cleared up if people would just read the Bible...
btw, Christian here -- feel free to add!0 -
I am Christian! Anyone can add me though. This is my first time here so it would be nice to have some like minded friends. There is nothing wrong with seeking out people who share the same beliefs as you. I love my non-Christian friends but ot nice to have other people to share my passion for Christ with.

Yup. Reading the bible fixes everything. If you click tools, then diary, under there is a TDEE calculator found in the book of Luke.
Also there are some secret pages in Revelations that contain some really tasty cauliflower recipes.0 -
Noticed that this thread is rather old. So, if I responded earlier then I don't remember. I will request you.0

thanks, captain america. I was referring to religious "beliefs" and people's "opinions" not weight-loss... but since you're so smart (obv), you probably already knew that. :flowerforyou:0 -
I am a Christian, but I tend to misbehave some days. I am a work in progress. The poem below is lengthy, but very true.
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living''
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow.0 -

For instance, many people take the story of Sodom and Gamorrah (sp?) as a message that homosexuality is a great sin, while others look at the context within history and location, as well as what it actually says (and, for the record, the Bible has been translated many times over and its original old Hebrew form did not contain punctuation, spaces between words, nor vowels) and have concluded that the actual sin depicted in the story is lack of hospitality in a time and place where travelers being mistreated or turned away by strangers likely faced certain death. The whole "guest right" thing -- George RR Martin didn't make that up. It was a real thing.
So while I absolutely respect everyone's faith or lack of it, reading the Bible doesn't actually clear things up.0 -
I am a proud Christian add me if you like!0

Atheist, rocking it baby0

Reading the bible is why I'm now an atheist.
R'amen!
Yeah actually most people who become atheists do so after reading the bible, who knew educating yourself about religion would push you away from it's beliefs!0 -
I don't care if you're gay, straight, transgender, white, black, Hispanic, Asian, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, agnostic, atheist, Druid, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Socialist, Communist, blonde, brunette, bald, single, short, tall, fat, thin, married, divorced, widowed or separated. All I do care about is how you treat others.0
