There's a 4 year age difference so this is to be expected I think

I didn't until 2 seconds ago.. It just looks boring & annoying like all Canadian kids' tv was (Mr Dressup gets a pass, still boring but the drawing was neat). Going by the comments you're not alone! (just sounds like a kid to me)

Mike the Knight: I and my niece's parents are convinced he must be Caillou's ancestor. Selfish, conceited brat.
Max: *kitten*. I never thought it was possible for a bunny to be such an A-hole. He essentially teaches children to do everything they are told not to do. And horrible grandma bunny totally encourages it. No one in their world has any idea what discipline is apparently.

Definitely agree with Caillou. I cannot handle whining at all. I think it's partially because his parents are overly involved. Most of these other cartoons you rarely even see the parents.
