    You're not going to believe this. I was at 14.33 miles on the trainer and a dog came in with a punctured eye so I had to stop so I could patch the poor little guy up. I have never included tenths before but I'm going to this time. :tongue:

    14.3 miles for 399.3 miles total.

    No excuses... did not have a good month, knee injury did not help...will get back at it stronger in November...This group definitely helps for motivation.

    For all of you who have been doing some total *kitten* kicking this month I want to say great work! I am slowly getting back into exercise after most of the month being down due to a neck injury that has really put a kink into everything I usually do. Grand total for the month is only 5 miles. I will be back in November and kicking it along with everyone else! Fantastic job everyone!!!!

    I'm not sure if I'm going to make it this month! I woke up with a brutal sore throat on Sunday and took the past few days off. I am hoping I feel up to a run or two before Thursday!

    Sorry to hear about your neck injury. Kink? Intentional pun? Glad that you're feeling better now. :smile:

    11.12 miles on the bicycle yesterday.

    This may be my last outing of the month as the weather promises to be miserable the next 3 days!

    How can you say 38 miles on a bad knee is not good? That's great work.

    @Speedyf - GREAT JOB! Congrats on your race! Did you ask the other guys who were doing their 4th Half in 5 weeks which one had the least hills so you could sign up for that one next time??? :smile:

    @lisa
    :laugh: I thought about it, but this race is in my hometown, so I'll just stick to this one, and try to beat my own time next year. :tongue: There's about 6 races in a 20 miles radius from home from May to October, and all of them are very very hilly races, because that's the topography in Eastern Townships. So I'll just have to get use to it, :glasses: and I will get better each time (I hope! :ohwell: :laugh:)

    @ Team Amelia - Yep. I'm a vet. I work an emergency clinic. It's kind of nice in that you never know what is going to come in, but the down side is, you never know what is going to come in. Sometimes I just get started on my trainer and something will come through the door. I prefer the emergency work to regular practice though. You don't usually see the same thing over and over. However, having said that. I had three dogs come in after eating D-Con (rodent poison) last night. It was starting to look like Deja Vu.

    3.1 miles today - although I do have to go to Target later - that's always good for some laps. :wink:
