Water Intake

I thought about this the other day while I was at the gym, and it might be a stupid question (because it sounds really silly to me), but maybe someone on here has an answer.
Does water 'count' as intake if you are drinking it while working out to replace what you are sweating out, or is any percentage of it cancelled out?
Again, I know it's a stupid question, but decided to ask anyway :-)

You don't need to "count" water. If your urine is pale yellow then you are hydrated. You get lots of water from your food (an apple is 85% water) and whatever you drink. Everything "counts" as far as your body is concerned.
The whole 8 glasses a day or half your weight in ounces is just broscience.0
