I just can't believe this, considering the other thread about the lady who couldn't believe that a young girl at her son's school had only candy and junk in her lunch.
My son just got home from school and he didn't eat his lunch which was leftover whole wheat pasta with ground turkey as well as an apple and some pretzels. Pretty balanced and very kid friendly. Well, apparently one of his friends made fun of his lunch saying, "How come you never get candy or Lunchables?" He was so upset he didn't eat. What should I do?

Tell him to go back and and say "My mom gives me food like this because she didn't give up on me."0

Watch Elf and follow Buddies recipe for leftover pasta.
I believe it was spaghetti but I'm sure it still works.0 -

Oh, that's a good idea. All kids like syrup!0 -
Go find the kid that said it and punch him in his little *kitten* mouth.
Or not.0 -

I felt left out as a kid because I didn't have Lunchables too. But that's not a reason not to provide a well-rounded lunch. If this is supposed to "show up" the other thread, it doesn't. It's apples and oranges.
I find nothing wrong with giving kids Lunchables, M&Ms, fruit snacks, etc. as treats. But you have to have protein in your lunch. And that poor girl's lunches were lacking on a daily basis.0 -
no pudding for him0

You're a horrible mother OP. There is no pure glucose for his brain to work You should feed him only twinkies and purple drink.0 -
The obvious answer is to sit him down and force feed him his lunch and if he refuses to eat it then have it out for him for every meal until it's nasty and rancid. Then you throw it out.
Also, make sure he doesn't have any wire hangers in his closet.0 -

Now I want pizza and waffles while eating with a Canadian while watching the national spelling bee. Damn you.0 -

I didn't get Lunchables either. I do put treats in my son's lunch sometimes. It just depends on what we have at the time.0 -
Go buy a lunchable, throw the contents out, and then refill if with your more nutritional items. Its all about the book cover...Just tell your son he can't throw it away. Stick to your guns and provide your son with the best of what you have to offer.0

OP you must teach your kid to be more of a wise *kitten* and say things like, "how come your parents don't love you enough to feed you real food?"0
