... tone is something you do to a piano- or a guitar.
you're able to TONE a piano or a guitar?
Maybe you meant to say TUNE a piano or a guitar?
Rocka, I'm learning alot from you today:
Rocka can't tone a muscle.
Rocka can tone a piano or a guitar.0 -
Well, there is unequivocally "a thing" as muscle tone, but to "tone", is yes kind of an invention of the fitness industry, and kind of a real thing depending on what you think "toning" means. Many think if you have fat in an area you can "tone" it, by working out that area, which is very false. But, the underlying tone of your muscles is influenced by many things, and can be changed, one of them is the kind of workout you do, how intensely, and how recently you worked out. When you have worked out recently with an adequate amount of weight, you have all probably felt the increased firmness of the muscle (along with soreness) which is a change in tone. However, not only are you not really in control of your body's response (some firm up more than others and its also to do with inflammation), but it only lasts a varying degrees for hours to several days. What most people think of as a workout to "tone" an area is not really valid because unless you lose weight, it doesn't change the appearance of an area unless you have so little fat your muscles show through, and if you have a lot of fat covering those muscles it wont make a difference in your appearance at all, and certainly not in the amount of flesh overhanging a strap across your body...which is what I'm understanding this topic means?
Now back to the entertaining topic of "bra overhang"...I just and to look in and see what that was even...0 -

despite the sarcasm- you know what I mean.
tone is a word- yes- and the fitness world uses it like crazy.
Most women want DEFNIITION- which comes from lifting- and reduce body fat.
it's not tone- it's definition. i'ts a ridiculous word to describe this process and it doesn't encompass what really needs to happen to the body and while it's used extensively in many places- any time any one says it- I can tell immediately they have no idea what they are talking about.
keep telling yourself you need to tone up though... get back to me when you look like what you want to look like. I'll be interseted to see how long it takes.0
