You can do anything you set your mind to. When you feel like giving up, think about why you started!

    Feel free to add me!

Please don't be offended, but you look almost 30 years younger now - Incredible! Good for you:smile:

I have 4 kids, their ages range between 23 through 16, I just began my weight loss journey at the end of august 2012, I had been heavy since i had my first daughter, 23 years ago, But the pounds just kept packing on! My kids grew up with a fat mom, after my first grandson was born, it really began to bother me, here i had this beautiful grandson that i never felt like doing anything with, then i looked back at my kids growing up, and there is so much i missed, I was either tired..or felt sick, to be very honest suicide crossed my mind several times a day, I began trying every diet i could find, spending hundreds of dollars, i was lost, my daughter also began putting on lbs after her son and she was miserable, she along with me was spending money, trying to find the miracle pill.. one day she took to the internet and she came across MFP and began researching about eating lowering calories..she began and was excited, so i joined knowing I'd be on it a week then drop off..but nope, i have lost 90something lbs from being here..This place changed my life, and with the support of my children and my grandsons, i keep fighting the good fight....When i feel like i can't lose another lb, i look at my old photos and i remember how horrible i felt being so heavy, I'm not done yet, but i give myself breaks and allow myself a treat once in awhile, and i know ill get to my goal weight! Good luck to you...Remember this isn't easy..but its easier when you have support from others that have been there!

I actually suffered ED after the kids (not because of the kids). I have 2, by the way - 12 and 8. This is my transformation over the past 5 years.

For you momma's that have reached goal or are close. Did you eat back your exercise calories?? That who concept still confuses me.

I only eat back if I am hungry.

Ive never posted pictures on here before so hopefully this will work. I am, by no means, ready for a bikini yet. But it IS my goal which is why I own it and take pictures in it.

Before - approximately 280 pounds at 5'10" 6 weeks after my daughter's birth. I may have gained some after this - I topped out at 289.

    http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy112/tortorar/me2_zpse197c727.jpg

Recent- Around 185. OK - I gained 10 pounds after this and now started losing again so I'm techinically only up four :)

My biggest keys were to workout around her schedule when she was an infant. But I can tell you it revolves around how old your daughter is. If she still naps, do full body workouts at home. Even on You Tube you can find a plethora of Jillian Michaels and other workouts. Into pilates? check out blogilates. I just tried one short, 8 minute video on there today.

Now that she's older, and even when she started walking/running - I make it a point to run around with her or at the park to play with her - even part of the time (so I don't embarass her as she's six) and use the monkey bars for pull ups etc.

My motivation was that I needed to be around for her. Actually I still need to remember that as I'm still overweight and am hoping to lsoe another 50 pounds. At any age your kid is - they need you there as healthy and happy as you can be. I hope these pictures worked.

I can also tell you DON'T EAT THE LEFTOVERS!!!!! :)

Mamas, you all look incredible. Sadly my babies are now 18 and 20. Like so many others, I never had a weight problem until I had kids because I used it as an excuse to over eat. I only wish I had done this years ago, so good for you who are doing it while your kids are young!!! Anyway, here's me.
