    I would put all of this in a pot with tht pork for yummy pork and root veg stew.

    I'm curious to know what you ended up making.

    I would have made pan fried pork chops, topped with fried apples with a honey glaze, roasted rosemary and olive oil root vegetables, and a salad featuring "popped" cherry tomatoes (warmed in a pan just until they burst) and asiago cheese.

    what the hell is a purple carrot, we don't have them in my local sainsburys?

    Oo! Oo! Oo! My husband GREW purple carrots in our garden this summer.

    I didn't really think they tasted any different. But they did turn my fingers purple when I chopped them.
