UK here.
We are taught from an early age that our children should be named so that if you put the honorific title "king" before their name, it would sound dignified.
My children are Richard and Daniel. King Richard, King Daniel.
King Dylan or King Connor doesn't quite cut it.
That's just reflecting your English bias. Welsh or Irish people might well find Dylan or Connor more dignified than Richard or Daniel.
Anyway wanting to sound royal isn't everyone's ideal in names.0 -
I just feel bad for the child if the name sounds like some thing other kids will make fun of.0
