I'm pretty sure he weights more than my 4 year old. She took him to the vet, he was put on a special type of cat food and he refused to eat it. He held out until my mom gave him back the food he loved.

Ok, Symon looks like a little cat compared to this cat....WOW!!!! Did he lose any weight??

Is your cat eating it's exercise calories back? Also cut out it's cardio. Your cat needs to lift heavy.

y'all, cat food is totally in the MPF database. They have both wet and dry varieties of Hill's K/D food. ::barf::

I put my two on an indoor cat food that is higher in protein than some others, my Kit Kat lost 2#'s (nearly 20% of his wt, nice, right?) I don't know how much Sweetie Cat lost because I didn't weigh him at the start (he wasn't 'seriously' overweight anyway) They get a measured amount per day and NO treats (occasionally I will give them water from tuna)

It's tough to listen to them cry for food and sometimes my Kit Kat acts as though he is starving (and he was when I rescued him, so undernourished he looks like a 6 month old)

Also, Vet Advice is recommended because you can't just put cats on diets, they can go into liver failure from a lack of food. (and yes, die from it)

Are cat's themselves considered a lean source of protein? I didn't go shopping for me or the cat figured I'd just eat Mr. Pickles and kill two birds with one stone....no pun intended
