    I don't think so many moliculs and things that make a toxin have names that I know of right off the top of my head of more like a type like biotoxins and enviormental toxins.

    Ok, that lists the names of biotoxins, but it does not suggest that we are ingesting those things on a regular basis. It was more of a how-to on handling them in a lab :huh:

    Actually, it was 'toxins" that wadded my panties.

    But we take in toxins every day. Lots of them. The air, our water, our food, all have toxins.

    I read the article. So, what foods have these, and how does a cleanse remove them? Studies that show cleanses remove these toxins from your system would be greatly appreciated.

    This are all created by external factors and not created by or in the body. Most of these are produced in a laboratory for specific reasons. The key word here is living. When we digest food it is no longer living. The acid in our stomach ensures that plant and fungal material we ingest is dead before being allowed to produce biotoxins.

    ETA: You may want to check the source first as well. It's from the Division of Research Safety. It really is about laboratories and proper disposal of biotoxins that are created in labs (not the body). They are handling things we would not eat due to being deadly.

    That blog post stated basically that we should avoid food coloring and MSG. Ok, I can maybe buy into that. I get that the research is still out on some of those things and some have been proven to be harmful.

    But, how does a fruit/veggie cleanse remove them from our bodies? Are our internal organs incapable of handling them?

    As far as I can see, you're right. That link has little to nothing to do with any biotoxins you could flush out with juice. The ones are the list are controlled because they are deadly to humans and have weapons potential.

    I'm actually not sure, despite significant graduate work in comparative nutrition and a doctorate in veterinary medicine, which "toxins" exactly you could flush out with juice.
