    8/25/10 - had a miscarriage this week - didn't weigh in. Was 148 on 8/27.

    For those who might be wondering about my loss, this has been kind of a rough week due to completely unrelated issues from a couple of weeks ago and when I get very negatively emotional, I can't really eat. So, yeah... I'm losing, but it's not the way its intended. It'll all get back on track but don't get too excited about my numbers in the meantime. I do expect some of it will come back.

    if anyone wants to do a challenge this weekend, it is: TO PICK OUT A REWARD FOR WHEN YOU HAVE MET YOUR GOAL AT THE END OF THIS CHALLENGE. :) i will post the challenge on thursdays after the weigh-in. it will be a random idea and you can chose to participate or not. if you do, have fun deciding and let us know what your reward is!

    Bummer weigh in....I weighed mid-week and was down to 158, then jumped back up. I think it's because it's "my week" - :sad: here's hoping for that 158 again next week!

    10 weeks away to Thanksgiving. This gives me an average of 1.36 pounds to lose per week to reach my goal. That seems reasonable. Just need to stay moving and motivated. Good luck to everyone in reaching your own goals.

    I had a good week this past week and it's giving me more motivation to keep going...I can see the changes in my body and I'm liking it! Glad to see everyone is doing well and looking forward to seeing everyone else's progress! Keep up the good work!

    And in response to the "challenge": Eating as much as I want on Turkey Day will DEFINITELY be my reward. I may actually hit up the desserts more than the dinner ;)

    Changed my goal from 165 to 160 -- I think I can do it!

    As for a reward when I reach my goal weight? I'm thinkin' a new outfit. I should be close to fitting in a 12 by then (or at least REALLY comfy in a 14). Jeans and a pretty sweater, maybe a matching scarf. Something fun for fall/winter!

    I was going to edit my last post, but not sure how to do it. I did it earlier, but not able to now?? Anyway, my reward for hitting my goal by Thanksgiving is to bring along one of my outfits that doesn't fit me now to my sister's for Thanksgiving dinner and dress up for the occassion.

    well, more trauma and stress this week as our house was broken into on monday night while we were sleeping. they didn't take much (~$1000 worth of stuff) and they have been caught already, but it is scary to think of what might-have-been. we did not hear a thing and that is truly frightening. if they had been intent on harming us (thank God they weren't), we would not have known it until it was too late. the boys are very, very upset and have had trouble sleeping. :(

    my losses seem very tiny lately and i know that is because i have not had the self-control i normally do. i have been overeating like crazy lately. my goal this week is going to be to hit my target 1288 (+/- 20) calories everyday. i had a good day eating-wise today.

    i think i am going to change my goal to be at 120 by thanksgiving. my reward for reaching my goal weight will be to buy 15 new ipod songs from itunes. :)

    I'm glad so many of you are keeping up. I haven't posted in a while but I am keeping up with my weight loss...1-2# a week.
    When this challenge started I was 171.5#...as of Friday I weigh 165#...down 6.5#. My goal is 155# by Thanksgiving.

    When this challenge started I was 171.5#...as of Friday I weigh 165#...down 6.5#. My goal is 155# by Thanksgiving.

    You're doing awesome! I'm not much behind you -- scale said 169 for me yesterday! Can't wait to see 165 (it's the lightest weight I remember seeing on the scale when I was younger. Haven't been there since Jr. High!)

    Keep up the hard work -- I bet you'll see less than 155 by Thanksgiving!
