Eh, people are going to assume because of the grey, but no, you don't have to dye it. A lot of women (and I guess men) like the "salt and pepper" thing.

Also, I creeped your profile, and want to thank you for your service. Happy Veteran's Day. :flowerforyou:

    Thank You! :smokin:

I don't think you look like you're in your 40's. Maybe the guy took more into account than just your looks, like the way you spoke, your position in your company, the way you carried and handled yourself? older men tend to have more of a calm authority surrounding them, and come off as powerful without being cocky, maybe this is the way you present yourself? also, most guys who dye their hair look kinda silly, especially if you're just grabbing a box of stuff from the store. the salt and pepper look, like a few other women here have said, is distinguished looking :)

You don't look 40. I have the opposite problem, people think I'm a teenager...I got carded for the movie Bad Grandpa recently.

Hey getting carded is good.. Everytime I'm buying beer Im secretly hoping the cashier will ask for my ID. They never do... lol.

Either way.. I appreciate all of your support. I have dyed my hair and even my goatee before.. but it just never felt right.
I dont think they make a very good match for my natural hair color.. so it always came off as too dark.

It looked as if I had painted my hair and face.

    I felt silly ..

Thank you guys for your opinions .. I appreciate it.. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going crazy. I mean I am very professional in the way i deal with the customers.
Im a goof with my friends..

But I didnt think I looked like I was in my 40s.

This guy was probably 43, 44 .. so he thought we were the same age.. yeah no.

If any of you would like to add me as a friend please do.. I always appreciate the support here.

So dont dye it huh ?

No, don't dye it. I'm 31 and I find the salt and pepper look can be very attractive even on a younger man. If you start dyeing now you will have to keep up with it and it can look very fake.

I don't guess people's ages. Not even if they ask me. It's like asking a woman if she's pregnant. I wouldn't ask a woman if she was pregnant, if her water broke in front of me.

I waited 6 months and for an email with a sonogram photo to congratulate our receptionist about her pregnancy.. lol.

I aso would like to add that 40 is a very sexy age on a man, so even if you do look 40, no big. More ladies for you!

IMO, judging by your pic, you look like someone in their 30's. That dude is weird.

I would've guessed mid 30's. I also agree that it might be the goatee as facial hair tends to make you look older regardless of the gray. Definitely don't dye it. You guys are lucky - gray hair makes you look "distinguished". On us it just makes us look like old crones. LOL!
  • Nope, you have a young looking face, and great skin from the looks of your pictures! Just try and shrug it off!

Thanks Candace .. I can always count on you to give it to me straight.

And UpToTheChallenge Ive never really paid attention to my skin, but you're right, its actually in really good shape. So i guess thats a good thing.

It's probably me just being self conscious and when someone tells you that you look 11 years older than you are.. it kinda makes you wonder if everyone sees you that way.

Aging gracefully and naturally is attractive, I think. Some people just start greying earlier than others. The color of your hair doesn't determine how old you look, to me at least. Just take good care of your skin, especially neck and hands - two super give-aways for age even if they aren't revealing your true age!

some people are bad judging... and the grey throws em alot.. if it works for Sean Conery.. it's working for the rest..

I think you look about your age, maybe a couple years younger. Definitely don't look like you're in your 40s.
