Did your Boobs get smaller?

Ok, so here I am - starting this journey again and I am determined to finish it!!!
I would LOVE to lose size in my breasts! I am currently a 34G (172lbs) 13 months post baby and 4 months post lactation (prior to having a baby>going on meds for PPD>gaining an insane amount of weight, I was a 32E at 140lbs).
I know because I have always had a larger bosom (I was a B at 14, C at 15, D at 16, DD at 17), I will always have the heavy chest... Will they get smaller? Ideally, I would like to be a B or C...
My questions are - How many of you lost size in your breasts and what size where you before and after? Also, how much weight did you lose to see or not see a difference?

Down nearly 40 lbs and no real difference in cup size - just a couple of back sizes.
If you've nursed a long time, it's likely that your breasts have a higher amount of tissue vs. fat in them, so it's very possible that they won't go down too much. But then you might be genetically fortunate and it's mostly fat, in which case you'll lose volume too.
Clear as mud, I realize. Hope that helped.0 -
Of course they are made of fat. Even the same cup size in a smaller back size is a reduction of breast size.0
-
I wished! Ive had no change in my cup size.0
-
At the height of my nursing (for 9.5-10 months) I was a 34 H/I - it was horrible!!!0
-
I was a 40DDD, now I'm down to a 36C-D (depending on the brand). I kept my "size" but lost the fat. They look full and plump in a bra but terrible w/o one. Definitely getting them fixed after I hit my goal.0

Yup mines just recently went down again.. I went from a D to a C for a long time now i am in a B lol hope that will be all! lol0
-
Pregnancy 5 years ago didnt really make mine bigger and have went down a cup size if not more and fear i will have none by the time i get to goal weight....:sad:0
-
Slight shrinkage but not enough to change sizes. I'm still a 34 C and it looks good on my body type. My sister went down a cup, though. From DD to D.0
-
yep. I had none to start with (36C). Now, I struggle to fill an A cup
Small price to pay for the rest of my smaller size though0 -
When I was pregnant with my daughter, my breasts got HUGE. I went from a 34 C to a 36 DDD. I breast fed for 11 months and when I stopped, they went down a cup size. Now that I've lost nearly 40 lbs, I'm back down to a much more reasonable 34 (almost 32) D.
As for you, it really depends on how much breast tissue to fat ratio you have. Only time (and work!) will tell.0 -
totally!! no more manboobs0

Not yet.0

I had huge watermelons, now just itty bitty saggies after nursing two babies for a year each and then losing 100 pounds from my highest weight. Mine were so big that I couldn't lay on my back because I could hardly breath. Serious melons to itty bitties! And I love it.
Breasts are filled with fatty tissue, so it makes sense that as you drop body fat, you would lose fat there as well. But just with stomach or hips or arms, you can't spot reduce your breasts. You might lose there first or not, but just keep going and enjoy your healthier YOU.0 -
i was a D. now im a Y... as in y bother with a bra. but i love it. i love my line of definition ..and now i have pecs!!!!!!0
-
I went from a very full 36C to a 34A. I wish they hadn't deflated quite that much, but I'm okay with it.0

What "shape" are you (hourglass, pear, apple, etc)? I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'm pear-shaped and always lose weight top-down: I could have no boobs, collarbones jutting out, tiny bird arms, etc, but be hiding a giant padunkadunk and thunder thighs under an a-line skirt.0
-
I went from 36C to 34A and personally loving the smaller boobies hehe0
-
Eh. Half a cup size...maybe a full. They feel firmer to me then ever before. It must be from lifting and the muscles hidden underneath.0
-
My boobs definitely got smaller and more shapely0
-
36C to 34B not much but I'm happy with the slight change0
-
I was similarly to you always the big chested one from an early age onwards. I had my grand final at a 34G but without having a kid. Now I have lost 28 lbs, 10% body fat and 4 cup sizes...
Not sure how happy I am about being a 34C... But being rid of the G cups is pretty good0 -
When I gained all of my weight I went up 2 cup sizes. Now that I'm back around the weight that I used to be, I still haven't lost the boobs that I gained. Only went down in band size.
I'm still thinking that I will go further down in cup size.. but we will see! It's difficult to guess.0 -
Yes, from 44D to 34 or 36C, saggy too????, when I'm done losing I'm getting implants.0
-
Hi,
I'm 41 and have nursed 3 kids - when putting on weight over the last 5 yrs I gained in breasts too and now as I lose I an definitely losing in cups...not too happy about it as they get more saggy but it's the price to pay!0 -
They are, and they always do. Mine go down to match my hip measurement, and both of those go down or up consistently with weight for me. Mine aren't huge or small. Just 'big', usually (but I have a very wide-boned ribcage so they don't look big).
.
Mine will just keep on going, too. I don't even shoot for a flat lower belly, because the loss of boobage that takes on me is unreal. And my ribcage looks positively silly at that BF%, too (38 band here, totally visible ribs, no strap fat!)0 -
Im finally getting a significant loss *HAPPY DANCE!* :flowerforyou: I wanna get to a b cup too but I doubt it will happen, my proportions dont change, so my volume goes down some but im still a larger cup size0
-
Given your history, and the fact that you must not be very big now, given a 34" band size, I think it's unlikely you'll lose much in the breasts. You might be able to lose some, but I'd guess you'll still be far bigger than you'd like.
I went from a 42G to a 36DD. I think I'll be a 34DD or 34E when I hit my target weight (I'm almost to a 34" band size now and have 15 lbs. more to go).
I will say, what seems to have done the most to reduce my chest was when I started running. I think it was my body's own self-preservation LOL. But it seems all that running and jiggling sped up the process of them shrinking. ultimately, I think being a 34D would be perfect for me, but I'm unlikely to get there without surgery (and I wouldn't have surgery just to reduce one cup size).0 -
In 40 lbs lost, I have moved from a 38DD to a 34-36DDD. So, for me, no. But it'ss going to vary person to person. The maternal side of my family has been well endowed for as many generations as we have pictorial evidence. My great grandmother was 4'9" and had a larger chest than mine.0
-
Yes, yes they did. :grumble:0
-
Yep, from the little weight I've lost so far, I've gone from an H to a G cup. (same brand too)
Hope to lose more!0
